Logitech Dfp, Good starting wheel?
Well im thinking about getting a wheel, and for my price range (probably about £60-£100) this seems a good place to start,
my simple questions are:
How much more control would i have than with my keyboard? (full return and steer rates)
Is it worth the money?
Will it be easy enough to set up?
Once im used to it will drifting and/or powerslide control be anyeasier?

Thanks in advance

Are you kidding about the “would it have more control that a KB?”

The simple answer is yes, obviously. You get much more precise control with the wheel and FFB, as well as much better braking and throttle control with the pedals.

Again, yes it's worth the money, I would have said that a DFP is one of the best, there are cheaper ones.

Setup is simple, you just plug it in, choose you rotation (I have 540 for LFS) FFB strength and calibrate it. You can install the Logitech profiler, most do but I don't think it's needed, helps more if you play different games that require different rotation settings.

As for the last one, see my first answer.

The easy answer is that a wheel helps with every aspect of driving, which is kind of obvious, with KB there are some cars that you just cannot drive or at least drive that well. Only thing I would say is that it can take a while to get used to get and get your laps times down to what they where but you'll be better and faster for it.

Are you kidding..?

Mapping some keys to wheel makes it much more easier to race.

And yes, the DFP is the best choice for your money.

About what? I don't think I had the profiler installed when I first plugged in and tried my DFP.
Ok cheers for the information
