Overall Rating of the A8 = 4/5 - Latest A8 is more of the same only better: a driver oriented car with a firm ride by clas standards. Build is unrivaled though.

These are the only point's that are true but You don't know much about VW and Audi do you?

They share all engines they make, from as early as they were together. The Audi 50 was the Mk1 Polo and used pretty much everything the same, except for the 'audi' badges, and trim if you notice, the windows and many more things are marked with VW AUDI embossings on VW or Audi cars.

The W12 engine im the Audi A8 was first created by Volkswagen, and I have never seen a real-life Audi A8 W12, where as I have never seen a VW Phaeton that WASN'T a W12. As for the comparison, there is no difference in the build quality of a Phaeton and an A8, they just feel different, Audi's feel more Luxurious, simply because Audi have been using Luxury par to their name for Longer than Volkswagen have and that explains the Price depreciation on an new Audi A8 of any spec to a Volkswagen Phaeton

No, I know they share parts to CERTAIN cars.. I'm talking about on more expensive cars, they are pretty much self engineered. Since the new Golf came out, VW have sorted their quality issues, the point is Audi, which has been making small cars for a long time too, never had them to begin with.

I've seen loads of Phaetons, all of them were TDi's. Because they're company, rather than Privatly owned. As for the W12 A8, Audi themselves admit only about 3% of A8's sold will have the W12 Engine specified. And no, I haven't seen one. I don't "bum" cars.

The depreciation is based on the CAR, if people start liking a brand, because it's GOOD, then people will buy it more, hence depreciation will be less.

I am the biggest VW AUDI fan ON this forum, my whole family knows and works with VAG cars. 2 of my Uncles own a VW - AUDI garage, and another Uncle owns a separate Audi specialist garage. I do know what I am talking about :P The Phaeton and the A8 I am positive, use the same chassis and doors

I understand that, I never said you don't know what you're talking about.

If its the same chassis, how come they handle differntly? Because they are set up by the individual manufacturers, they ride differently, plenty of reviews about support that. Like, for example, the Mazda 3 and the Ford Focus. Its the same chassis, but the Mazda 3 drives like a mess. Why? Because of individual setups.

The point of this, from where it all started is that a car which "can" do 200Mph is better.

Which it isn't. Case closed.

Ok, you made your Point, but I want to know how Mazda ended up using Ford chassis', or did they buy Mazda when I was deaf and blind like Toyota did with Diahatsu?
