Thought I could start the thread...

First of all... you were all great there were no chrashes eliminating half of the field!!!!
but that's aswell the bad sight of it... as you all know, I'm not a qualifyer, because I don't have that much time to train...
When I reached P15 (started in P30) in race 1 i was so happy, that I've thrown it away...
Race 2 I flipped two times and finished in P21 (started: P29)
I need a miracle to get under the Top 20, if not, it probably will be my last appearance on the UFOC Main Event! (because I'm not that fast, and because it will be a miracle aswell to get home til Pre-Qual starts)

But I have had fun...

Race 3, who are the retards that can't drive in a straight line? thanks for ruining my race and a few others too, greatly appreciated

Falke, I still see you driving, and at the moment you're pretty fast!!! You've done 2 pbs, shaving over half a second off your old ones!!!

For the rest:

-a few people cut badly in (pre-)quali, most of them crashed in the same lap though.
-everything went on quite disciplined, some stuff like chatting during race/grid sorting could be better next time
-lag start went fine everytime, some people jumped the gun in race 1... tough luck guys, better luck next time!
-race 2, lap 2, some people might have overtaken under yellow... let's see
-watching cutters is tough when you're the only non-racing admin. I'm personally thinking of putting hard barriers into some corners........

It has been a pleasure admining round 1 with Dru, watching replays might possibly not.

ok, I'll be patient til the official results are published... if it is as I described in my first post.... is there any chance to get a job as UFOC commentator??? (just someone has to explain me how to stream) :P would be a job for me... maybe for JamieB aswell

Was a fine race for me, won R1 and R2, and maybe I could have even won the last without the mistakes in the middle of the race, but you cant win everything

Really enjoyed the race, great 4-way battle and a massive battle with Swiss_Tony at the end.

Great fun - can't wait for Round 2, what's the combo?

Overall I think that went surprisingly well as I did not expect there to be as many finishers as we eventually had, there was obviously a few incidents involving numerous cars especially around the bridge area but all things considered as it was round 1 I think it went very well.

I suggest we all go to CTRA race 1 server to practice

I thought it was really everything that everyone hoped it would be bring on round 2, this is so good .

first race i got caught by crashed/spinning cars a few times which killed all of my speed and gave me damage and let everyone go by me. same in the second race, both times only hanging onto 16th overall. but lucky to finish after the accidents. third race was better for me i found my way around a few spinning cars and gained some spots and made it to 12th which it appears has got me some points



I hope that someone makes a good video of it, i watched the replays and i tell ya the racing is really nice, tightly packed with action and drama but still being fair and clean. i just hope my luck holds out and my pace improves for the other rounds.

Well 8 minutes is not long. I need several laps to get a nice lap in (was hoping for a 2:22:low as that was my max), But there were so many cars on that small piece of tarmac i was more looking at my mirrors more then concentrating on my own.

I remember in F1 they had a max number of laps.
Or you have to make a qualifying order with enough space between cars. I think that many cars in one place for a qualifying is not working (not for me). In a race is a different story because although some seem to see different, you really dont need a 2:19 in race with danger to flip over.

My goal was just to finish which i did consistently. Just wished it would have been a place or 2-3 higher so i would be in points table.

Does anyone need me to upload any replays?

Well I was really looking forward to this. Been practising my bud off and I made the holy 1,19 lapetimes. But nothing off that in race.
I was knocked out in race1 at T!. Still people feel the need to overtake at t1. Why dont know. But I did finish race 2 and 3. Not really pleased with results but thats racing.

I am so pleased that still round is done. I think overall people did splendid. I my mind i saw the half off the field being in crash so considering that well done.

Aye I also looking forward to round 2. But it could be carnage. Still hae mine doubts about the 8 minutes quali do. I did 1 lape after that I hit traffic and went to pits and watched the end of practise.
Quali on SO classic gonne be hell with 30 racers on track

I think most people only got one lap in for qualifying..

looking at it retrospectively the difference between 20 people on a track and 32 is massive in a qualifying section.

I would say with absolute confidence there will be changes before the next round.

I would like to apologise to everyone for the length of time it took inbetween races and setting the grids.

Unfortunately the custom grid ordering which was working fine with smaller grids came unstuck when the box to fill for custom grid can only see 15 drivers at a time and you can not scroll the box down.
We will try and resolve this.

Also there was a slight mixup with passwords and also the fact that passwords change.

Passwords HAVE to change so that auto qualifiers can not enter the server whilst the pre-qualifiers are on etc.

Also we change the password once every one is in main qualifying so that then any 'late' automatic qualifiers forfeit their place.

We will review the system and make it simplier.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience last night and would also like to congratulate everyone who took part.

Cutting - a few people did hit but nothing serious also really onlt FE2R and FE1 tracks can cut there will be no penelisation for this round.

(Also as custom grid was not working we could not auto add and change peoples qualifying positions) and people would just flame/spam/complain talk, and whilst 32 people still chat whilst we are forming the grids its just an absolute nightmare.

Regarding chatting, only 2 people spoke, one with a rather annoying 'auto bind' that MUST be disabled before next week.

No punishment will occure from round one you'll be happy to know

Lets see.

Race 1: rather good, lost my third on the last lap when Mr. Crazy English squeezed past me in the right hander after the second split.

Race 2: Nice 4th position in the grid, T1 was good. But on lap 2 Mr. English almost rolled it on the bridge in front of me, tried to slow down and dodge on the left. Then Mr Green tried to squeeze between us, hit both of us, we spun around, the drivers behind us couldn't react fast enough and the pile up was ready. Rest of the race I was trying to finish in top 8, and 8th place was indeed a blessing.

Race 3: from pole to victory. Tried to keep it safe and not to roll, Franke was closing in rather well because of that. Almost made it too, but something happened in the last chicane.

Overall I say it was fun. Quali wasn't that much of a problem for me because I was lucky enough having some room, but I didn't really have time for properly fast lap. I'd vote for longer session.

I must say i had quite a good time for how badly i done . Qualifying was really hectic, but somehow i grabbed 3rd. I made a few mistakes in the first race pushing my place to 9th =[. Then the last two races i didn't finish. Next race i need to work on some consistency. But yeah, thanks to all the people helping organise this event.

i was pretty hot for the race, but was a bit stressed anyway going into prequaly as i arrived just a few minutes before.

Was hoping there could be some punishments pushing me to place 20 but now...

will be pretty stressy. thought pre-qual wouldn't be that early. driving school ends at z1915 then I have to cycle home (most of the times)

but I'll have to manage it... cannot do anything else about it...
