Safe to say that an option to move the mirrors to the desired position would satisfy every user then right?

Most modern cars allow the side mirrors to be easily electronically adjusted by the driver, and many many older ones have employed a cable system to allow the driver to at least adjust the one on his side.
Even vehicles without such amazing technology, allow the driver to wind down his window, stretch out his arm, and manually alter it whilst driving. Of course, said driver had to have extremely long arms for those cars where the wing mirrors were actually mounted in the middle of the front wings (unlike the doors where most are mounted these days, despite us still referring to them as wing mirrors). This didn't mean that you couldn't stretch a pole out of the window and prod away until something resembling a useful angle resulted.
I want an server option called "no_repair_in_pit".

Could be fun, but damn it could be frustrating sometimes hehe
Imagine beeing crushed in T1 in a 50 lap race, and then have to drive with that damage for the next 49 laps

Shift P then rejoin?
No repair in pit would be vastly more realistic in most cases. If you're crushed in T1 I think you should be retired from the race, unable to rejoin no matter what you do. Don't often see crushed cars finishing races!

Would also be a big incentive for 90% of LFS players to learn how to approach T1 without always having accidents.
Quote from R3DMAN :this is all i see in my rear view.. (granted the camera position isnt relly where my head would be but its close to what i can actually see)

Thus showing the same thing that you see in your center mirror making the side mirror completely redundant. Why even bother having side mirrors if you are going to adjust them to see what you can more easily see in your center mirror.

I'd take a pic of what I see, but my mirror is broken and can't be adjusted at the moment. Well, I probably could force it over by hand since that's how it got misadjusted to begin with..... But to show the benefit, I'd have to be taking a picture in traffic with a car next to my rear corner to be of any comparison.
about the "no-repair in pits" I half agree and half dissagree.
I agree because it WOULD force ppl to learn how to drive through T1.
I dissagree because from the time they take away repair in pits to the time everyone knows how to drive through T1 would be the worst and most annoying thing in the world.
On the first week with no repair only like 5% of the starting cars would finish.. It would suck
No pain no gain

As for mirrors, I can't live without my geeky wideangle centre mirror. It's great, and means absolutely zero blind spots. By the time a vehicle is close enough to get out of it's field of view, it's practically in my peripheral vision anyway. It also lets me keep an eye on the runts in the back!

Even more silly than side mirror overlap are the folks that seem to have the pointing into the sky for some reason . Only a few percent above the horizon should be visible; the rest should be all road.

The only reason I use side mirrors to park is backing into a stall to make sure I'm centered between the lines. Can't do that with your head.

so... what happens if your driving a 7 1/2 ton truck... or transit with no rear windows.. ect.

should always be able to see part of your vehicle in your side mirror. Not alot. just a little.

EDIT: would be nice to adjust side mirrors in game
My dad owns a chevy 1 ton and from what I've learned from driving it, you should always be able to see at least the tip of your rear bumper in your mirror, of course, he has fish eye mirrors at the bottom corners of his normal mirrors as well. No matter how far in you put his mirrors it still won't give you any part of what you can see in your rear view. The only way to completely eliminate the blind spot and make the side mirrors showing the car pointless is to have a completely glass rear set, quarter pannels and all.
My side view mirrors are set so that they just overlap the viewing angle of my center rear view mirror. I can't see any of my car's body without moving my head sideways drastically. It seems disorienting at first, but once you get used to it, you have a HUGE angle of vision and no blind spots that can't be seen by turning the head 90 degrees either way.
Well the side mirrors are there and youcan use it and for some reason it's not easily seen... Hope the devs can improve it like what you said... But for the engine-stalling it might not help in our racing beacuse it wastes our time and someone may get annoyed and quit. Common cars and diesels are mentioned lots of times in here so not much help if you ask it again...
