Best Birthday Present Ever?
So yesterday was my birthday, I'm getting on a bit now and only 9 years off being 30! My best present was a book with pictures from motorsport between the years 1900-1970, theres some seriously amazing pictures in there. Well I say it was my best present, it was my best until my sister came home and gave me my present from her.

Rally Challenge

We hope that you are delighted with your gift. You are the lucky recipient of a Rally Challenge half day course. Your course involves...

Basic rally skills and techniques in a Hyundai Coupe 2ltr 16 valve fully works prepared rally car built by the Hyundai World Rally Team. This course teaches you the basics on how to drive a car through a special stage and master techniques such as power slides and handbrake turns.

Its valid for a year, so I will probably do it sometime in spring next year. Best present ever? I think so.
Nice, very very nice. Congratz! Who's the sponsor or organizer?
Heres a link to the website. http://www.extreme-rally.co.uk/mission.htm Considering I only got my license in September, and I aint driven since I passed my test, it should be interesting. The course I have is one where you don't need to have held a driving license for a certain amount of time to do it.
Wow dude that looks incredable. I'm sure you'll have loads of fun. What's their insurance policy? Think you'd be able to honor Colin McRae with some stylish hang-time or huge drift angles?

Congratulation!
Thats great, wish I was you right now
Congrats!! My best birthday present was this pass Birthday. I got my Nikon D40 and a week ago my moms bought me AF-S Nikkor 55-200mm 1:4-5.6G ED VR lense.

sounds space age high-tec right till you read the word "my mom's bought"
made me google what exactly you got...

NICE ONE ATC
have fun!

I had a 2 day "crash prevention" (yeah sounds stupid, I know) course once...
was great fun, AND they let me drive a BMW sideways and also complimented me on that... right till the tire poped in a corner
I'd go on another driving course if I had a chance
I too got an awesome birthday present today. A very nice 22" LCD monitor and a swanky new office chair. Everything is just so much better now, more comfortable (was sitting on a plastic garden chair before) and clearer picture (had a poo Dell 17" TFT).

Yay for birthdays!
My brother got a chance to drive an F3 car at Pocono downs, the problem is he needed a full license(he only had a permit) and didn't know how to drive a stick.:/
Sounds like a great present, hope you enjoy the day!

I got a similar one for my 18th from my brother - a few laps in an MGTF160, a passenger ride in an MG ZS and then some laps in a Formula First single seater at Knockhill. Was a great day.
Just don't get caught behind people in turn 1 :P
I hate your sister for being so cool :banghead:

Have fun, and post pics/vids, k thx
hey, was my birthday too yesterday. November 9th rocks.
allthough my present sucked. my gf left me. *shrug*
Ouch. Does it count as a present? I mean, you're worse off than you were before.
Not really... in the last weeks, the relationship was more of a burden than a pleasure, so it was allright actually.

Do that with the Hyundai they give you I wonder what they're reaction would be, haha!
~Bryan~
They'd be going "WTF" seeing he turned their Hyundai into a Ford
I know that's a Focus, I'm not THATTTT high. I meant the fact that they are a good...oh, few feet in the air, doing some triple digit speeds, and probably feeling some monster G-force.

Business might improve for them though

Seriously...Your sister is the coolest ever. Nice Present
Well it says at the end of the day the instructors take you on a full speed run of the special stage, so I am making sure I take a dump before then.

You mean this?
Full speed run, eh? Gotta wonder just how skilled the instructors are, and how much balls they have. I imagine they will hold back slightly, because they wouldn't want to crash with a passenger on board, insurance sure wouldn't like it
~Bryan~
They have to be good. They must have a lot of free time to go drive the stage head to head with eachother.
SERIOUSLY AWESOME GIFT ! In Latvia, such a gift would cost a cheap car Hmm... My best birthday present I think was the one I kinda forced on to my dad, and got invited by my sisters husband.. That would be a seat and money to go watch the 2006 WRC Finland 4,5 days of pure fun But the car we went on was an audi allroad.. so only fun watching the event... But still What an event
But the best gift I guess would be my g25 which I got for christmas totally out of the blue.. Since I was collecting money for the dfp .
Your sister rox! altough my sister is GREAAT, I cant dream for a gift like that Actually... As nr.3 would go, my sisters husband let me drive a few km's with honda civic type-r and a subaru sti once... but that was like not super fun since I didnt have rights I only had the "white rights" and I was driving very carefully
