Where does CTRA stand on this?, I was driving last night on race 2, and someone (I have the username), was driving around with "f**k you" (without the stars) on their car.
I didn't report it, simply because I was unsure if the replay would save such information, i.e. if the person in question changed their plate would it reflect that in the replay?, or would it still be the same?.
If I see it again, TBH, it's not the first time, I'll report it, I did make note of the username if that helps at all.
If someone changes their plate mid-replay, I woulda thought it should show up in the replay. I'll give it a try a bit later to make sure
Feel free to PM me with the name, the approx time and the server, and I'll have a look at races about that time. I'm not going to deduct points or give warnings etc, unless s/he continues to use it after being asked not to. The nature of LFS means that it's always an inappropriate time of the day for rude numberplates somewhere in the world.
Is that really something you want to discuss on a public forum?
Edit: Dang! Forgot to ask about bumper stickers.
What about bumper stickers? As long as it does NOT have any profanities (sp?) but is mean or nasty. I have now a "drop dead" one and I was thinking of upgrading to "up yours".
The cars skins themselves are governed by the rules of LFSW, which I think prohibit anything generally considered offensive which would include foul language.
Well.. it's arguable, tbh. I really don't think we'd take action via the CTRA if someone complained about the content of a skin to us, but they'd be unlikely to do so anyway. LFS's rules state that you mustn't use offensive imagery on your skins. If someone decided to complain to the devs about that bumper sticker, it's always possible that Victor or Scawen could take direct action.
