In demo it is virtually impossible to remove demo racers. In licensed mode your online activities are tracked by your license name, making all actions completely accountable for.
Sad thing is, a lot of S2 licensed users are going in and crashing people in Demo. I've caught a few. But there are lots that hide their name, it is all too easy
I cant get my head around that Tweaker, S2 users going to demo just to crash? sounds very odd to me. I mean how can you tell they are S2 users? and what do they have to gain?
If you saved the replay, open it and press CTRL+SHIFT and his real S2 licence username will appear in the connection list. It doesn't work when you are in the demo server, but it does work when watching the replay. Of course only if he is dumb enough to connect to a demo server with his unlocked LFS install.
Very interesting, I had no idea you could see the license names on a replay of a demo server.
The answer to why a licensed user would go to demo to do this? Some people are just idiots. There's no idiot screening for purchasing a license for LFS. Just screening after purchasing and joining servers (community screening.)
+1
PLEASE don`t use it. Anyway, there will allways be people that just races for the fun of wrecking other people. This happens mostly on demo servers. The only way to avoid this is to buy S2 and join servers where you can ban people that are acting offensive. Or report the wrecker to the wrecker baricade, and he will be left out from most of the servers
What I cant seem to get my head around is the fact that S2 licensed drivers always believe that once someone is licensed, they never go back to demo, and use their license as a safe haven from wreckers. Totally untrue.
I've heard quite a few (ok not "a lot") people say "lets go on demo" in a S2 server or teamspeak/ventrillo server.... I join where they are playing, and they are just wrecking people for a good laugh. Other times it is wrecker vs wrecker.
I've heard of that happening before and have been told it happens alot also but didn't really want to believe it to be true way to go eh, people like that really think that that wll not effect the S2 environment long term
I've spent quite abit of time in demo over the years and have made friends and helped several newbies at times that have gone onto buy S2. That has a positive impact. Surely they can see wrecking in demo will have a negative impact. It astounds me that they might think it will encourage demo users to buy S2
But meh I remember the times when demo was full of very respectful fast racers. Can still find some these days but they are certainly abit thinner on the ground in demo now
Thats retarded. FFS, lisence drivers going to demo servers just to wreck and do silly stuff. Thats low, I mean LOW of the people doing this, and if I ever catch a lisenced driver doing this I`m not going easy on him thats for sure. Many people who love LFS, but are not sure on buying a lisence, is because they meet people who wreck them, and destroying their enjoyment with the game, and therfor might don`t want to buy a lisence. I never belived that any lisenced driver wanted to contribute to this.
"Hi racers, I would like to account for a Crasher in Demo mode race called SCM yesterday evening, this is below 2 sceenshoots about this. It is possible to sanction racers who have mad driving in Race?"
Dropping hot ashes or losing the tip of a cigarette, mayby some coffee all over your desktop because of the FF of your wheel. Been there, done that. Shit happens.I could have been Racer SCM in some situations.
I could emagine that some sons/wifes/girlfriends want to "test" LFS. Online, interactive and not just against some bots. Of course they´d choose a demo server and not a CTRA one. You get warned every time you go demo online. See att. file.
But I´m surprised about the NOT moderating of this "Flame, Blame and Shame" thread and I´d like to see a replay more then just 2 pics. in case the policy of the forums have changed.
My advice to Richthofun72 would be find yourself a good demo server as your stats show you like the XFG and BL1 and stick to it so that people get to know you. Almost 1 year ago TDRT had a IMO nice demo server, ZION had an even better one where most of the people knew eachother and had a lot of fast and fair races all the time. Crashers/wreckers had an extreamly short life in there.
And I even kicked Biohazard from our demo server the very first time he joined and drove in front of the leadergroup which I interpretated as not obeying a blue flag. And YES: Of course he´d drove away from all of us..
I'd certainly recommend the Zion server - very, very fast, clean racers. And, really, never ever go on a demo server that doesn't have vote enabled, as most do not have admins. (apart from, notably, Team Fusion servers that do sometimes have admins) Demoers aren't stupid and will ban crashers.
