It was snowing at my grandparents house today, but raining here. It's been predicted my are will be getting most of its snow before Christmas, but i've never seen it snow then.
it snowed here ....once. Winters here are kind of neat, If you don't like the weather, wait 15 minutes and it'll change.
In one day it's gone from like low 30s f with a wind chill of 20 F to 85 with a heat index of 90 - and back the next day. It rarely gets COLD cold here though. When it does snow here (does five snowflakes count?), the whole city shuts down
Yeah, but that's Texas. I'm in Pennsylvania. Last February, we had a day that hit in the 80's (F). That's quite astonishing for February in Pennsylvania. The next night, we had so much snow overnight that I couldn't make it to work the next day. I spent 8.5 hours digging out my 125 foot driveway using a tractor and plow.
Well, i was kind of shocked. I was at my brothers all day helping him decorate, when he came out to give me a lift (bout 20 minutes ago) we both said "wtf?"
About 2 inches on the top of Stokenchurch Hill on the M40...no risk at all to the evening traffic as we couldn't get above bloody 20 mph...
I ****ING HATE SUNDAY EVENINGS HEATHROW RUN!!!!! S**t traffic going there, and always get hammered with a full bus load coming back..worst shift of the week
9 posts away from the 1000, and only TWO swearwords
It did snow at last week, was quite impossible to see where to go at times as there was so much snow in air, one driver almost crashed as he/she could not see that road was going straight, so turned towards railing, luckily managed to avoid a crash as it would been really a mess as there was lot of traffic too.
Now snow is melting again, really stupid, should be -10C or more constantly at winter time so they could not use that damn salt...
I was there during the blizzard of '96, which was great fun. Me and my girlfriend snowed into our house for three days* with nothing but a case of wine and a freezer full of LSD to keep us company!
The girl I was living with at the time insisted that the best place to store LSD was in the freezer. Maybe it's an american thing? They insist on storing vodka in the freezer too.
Anyway, this isn't really a suitable topic. I should add that I left all that stuff alone years ago and I've concluded it is very bad for your brain, etc.
