G25 Wheel Mounted Upside Down
Does anybody know if you can mount the G25 steering wheel upside down and get it to work? By that I mean mount the base upside down, invert the steering wheel on the base and have it all work.
Thanks

seems like it might work if you just invert the axis, could be some other limitation i'm not thinking of though
The steering wheel would be angled down to the floor also, though that could be resolved by sitting on your head.
Thanks's Bob. What I want is a wheel that's close to vertical so I would mount the base on an angle.

Just thinking about building a cockpit that could also be a TV stand in the family room. The TV would stand on the footwell portion of the cockpit. When I finished racing I could just slide the part of the cockpit that holds my torso into the footwell portion. Then it might look loke a TV stand.
Aside from that, it is at least mountable that way: upside down G25

Edit: damn, should have vacuumed the floor first.
But if you mount it upside down the wheel ergonomy is all upside down, and that can't be any good for driving.

Plus, it will look like you belong to some unholy Blackwood forest guru worshiping cult hanging your wheel upside down like that. Bob presented it very well. Looks wrong, so wrong especially with the shifter.
I would mount the base at an angle so that the wheel is near verticle.

I understand what you mean and don't see any reason why it wouldn't work as long as the steering wheel itself can be removed and turned 180*. I tried it on my desk and the angle it is pointing downward is pretty extreme. Looks like almost 45* down from perpundicular.

Yes, I understand that. But what I meant, was that the wheel (the part you put your hands on) is upside down when it's centered, the lower spoke facing up and it will feel weird. Of course, it's solved if you take the wheel off and rotate it for 180 degrees.
