Quote from SamH :We can handle complaints just fine, thank you. We don't need reminding of your methods of complaining. Do you really want to rake that all back up?

Oh, to be honest I don't mind. It's entertaining.

Quote from SamH :It's harder to earn higher licences than it used to be. At one time we had to relegate a bunch of people because they had gained a higher licence than their driving ability or behaviour should have allowed. When we launched the X-System, we paid particular attention, refining the points calculation algorythm to prevent the same problem recurring. The points system is what it is, and we're happy with it in the main part.

So, basicly, if I hadn't been inactive for a year I might have had gold already, with the same results? That's nasty. But well, I really had it today. I got crashed out by other about 5 times today, and I found out that I would need platinum to drive a proper GTR. No way you can expect from someone to play this so much.

My results aren't bad. I've won nearly half the races I drove, and I drove fastest laps in more then half of them... This is not a way to motivate good drivers to get into the faster cars. And I'm not the only one.. Difference is that they are smart enough to stay away from all this.

Well you've focused more on your SS licence than on your CTRA licence, which is why you're only Bronze on the CTRA but you're National B on Single Seaters. If you'd focused your time on the CTRA server, you'd probably already have, or just about have, Gold. It's nobody's fault if you physically don't have the time to race. And if you hadn't taken a year off, I'm pretty sure you would have more points than you do now. I'm almost positive.

Yet, I have put more time in my CTRA license.. I really have.

Ah well.. We'll never agree anyway. It's better if I too, just stay away.

So you are one of the smart guys..?
Bas, once you get to silver, you will be earning 15 times as much points on race 2 as you would normally on Race1. You can get up to 100 points for a win. And maybe if your in the top 6, you will get a mininum on 30 pts.

It's not entertaining, it's boring. Like a stuck, scratched record.

If someone doesn't like the CTRA, I totally support them for keeping away. What it leaves is a kickass environment with great racing against great people. People who DO like the CTRA prefer it when people who DON'T like it just don't join the servers. This goes especially for Race 1, which is a really difficult server to get in during peak hours. If you don't like it, I'm begging you on behalf of all those that do.. please just keep away!

Anyone who left when Race2 went to BL Rally with a strange layout... FYI, I think it's an error in the system. That layout is actually supposed to be limited to the Bump & Jump servers. It's a slight oversight which I think we should be able to get sorted soon. It's now GT2/GTRs again
Hi there,

Got my silver licence yesterday, which I'm thrilled about...

However, I am struggling to control the cars in Race 2. I have my G25 set to maximum lock (720) and use the clutch and H-Shifter as I want to make things as realistic as possible. The problem is that when trying to correct oversteer, the wheel movements required often make the spin unrecoverable.. (ie unwinding the lock takes too much time...)

I have reduced the FF levels to allow for faster turns from lock to lock, but I was wondering if theres anything else I can change. Does anyone know any techniques I could use to prevent such oversteer in the first place? I really don't want to cheat by resorting to paddles and a lower steering lock.

Thanks.
I think the GTRs use 540* rotation. I'm fairly sure of that

Maybe thats your problem?

I thought that as well, but I use a wheel turn compensation value of 1.00 which I believe allows for the difference. Either way, the wheel turn seems to match the in game wheel 1:1...

Any other ideas..? (That can include the opinion that I just suck.. I wont be upset...Honest.)

That gets my vote. If you don't like the CTRA, then take the hint and take a hike. I can't understand why you would even want to be there if you don't like it.

I wouldn't hang around outstaying my welcome anywhere if I weren't wanted and I certainly wouldn't waste my time whinging and publicising opinions about it either. It's all a bit pathetic really
I came. I saw. I got totally pwned.

And this was with the TBO class.

Now I'm officially scared shitless of the GT2s.

I'm nowhere NEAR consistent with the TBO class except with the XRT on BL1. I wonder why?
Well anyways. Now I'm going to start practising driving the XRT on the tracks featured on CTRA Race 2. The question is what tracks are there in the rotation? I found an old list from the times of the STCC but is it still accurate?

Secondly, do you have any suggestions which of the GT2 vehicles would be the easies to start with? XRR, FXR or FZR?

Oh carp! It doesn't bump it if i only edit it.
