Logitech Formula EX - weird, weird ..
Hi all!

I got myself a Logitech Formuls EX. I havent played LFS for many years and i bought the wheel to have some drift fun.

The problem is that I cannot set the wheel properly. Calibration is OK, I installed the logitech software.

The problem is the wheel is just too sensitive. I have searched the forums, tried many different settings - and nothing.

Meanwhile my neighbour has an old Dexxa wheel, we plugged it and I can drif with no problem.

When i turn the wheel it seems to be very fast and the car just spins and the tail is very jumpy.

I have 270 degree and 0,60 wheel compensation.

I tried the calibration in the game (turn the wheel and press pedals) and software in windows is set as described (105%, other all 0%).

Any ideas?

cheers,
PIC
It could be a few things:-

1. Make sure that the wheel turn amount is the same in LFS as in the profiler software.

2. Try a higher wheel turn compensation value.. This will make the wheel less sensitive towards the centre, which then increases as you near full lock.

3. Try increasing FFB strength, making it harder to make fast, twitchy wheel movements.

4. Practice. If you used a wheel with greater lock before, a smaller lock will take some getting used to.

Hope this helps.
I've got the same wheel without any problems you've described. I'd suggest setting turn compensation to 1.0, also make sure you've set max lock of your wheel in LFS correctly. EX has 200 deegrees, try that instead of 270.
I too have this wheel. Never had any problems with it (apart from it being cheap and flimsy).

I run it at 270 degrees and wheel turn compensation at 1.00 in LFS no problem.

The only time that it's really sensitive is when driving the MRT. Not sure if other wheels do the same thing in MRT.
I used a Formula Force GP in my demo days. finaly broke the FFB after too much drifting. I now use the gas pedal on it as a clutch for my momo.
