For the making of The Blame Game, I want to access a replay that is compatible with S2 Patch U. I have downloaded a patch U version but when I try to unlock it, I get the "problem with the master server" error. Is there another way to unlock this version of the game?

iirc u uses the same unlocking method as patch x so the /data/misc files from a x install might work
otherwise you could try some pre patch u versions:

if none of these work i think the master server change was done sometime during the u testpatches at around the u30 mark so those might work as well and should be replay compatible

no one has done an Unlockabe patch U yet though.
BTW, I'm looking for patch 0.5F if anyone wants to point me to that direction that would be very appreciated!

I don't think pre patch u versions would work with a patch U replay, would they?

they might (iirc s/t/u/v/w are all mpr compatible) but thats not the point

all unlocking information is stored in the /data/misc folder so once youve unlocked one copy of lfs you can unlock as many as youd like on the same machine
additionally as long as scawen didnt implement any changes in the unlocking system to prevent this or that crack from working the unlocks also work across patches

Update to U30 which is fully compatible with U:

Oh OK. So if I copy my unlock data to my LFS Patch U folder it should
work. I'll check that out now. Thanks!

Downloaded, got confused, corrupted my version of LFS so it won't work anymore, got pissed off and had to re-get LFS.

That's a lesson to everyone... for God's sake make a backup of LFS and all of its folders before you try any old patches... Luckily I have one from a few months back on my old PC, which I'll be able to used. I'm still not best pleased though.

i suppose you installed the patch u30 files over an existing x version of lfs ?
tbh im not the least bit surpised that it went bad ... what you should have done there is start from a full version of u (which shouldnt be too hard to locate in the vastness of the interweb) and patch that

btw if you just reunzip the full patchx zip (the 100something mb one) to your messed up lfs install you have a good chance of mending it
