Reporting Someone on eBay?
This guy is selling about 200 PC's as advertised with 6GHz CPU units.

I sent him a message as I thought it was just the one he was selling then I realized he had hundreds. Normally I couldn't care less, but to think that Christmas is around the corner a lot will be bought and little Timmy will be most disappointed.
Nah, Niall, don't worry about it. It's Harjun!
the seller i think doesn't know much about Dual core he thinks that 2x3.00ghz is 6.00 ghz while in reality its 2 3ghz cores running separately having separate caches

EDIT: you can e-mail the seller to correct his mistakes rather than complaining. COmplaining is what harjun does best
It just means 2 processors running at 3GHz each.

*I* know that that doesn't equal 6GHz, but I don't think they're out to defraud anyone, they just haven't written their description very well.

LMAO...I knew I would get a reply like that, to be honest its what was running through my mind when I first saw it

I am aware that he thinks that 2x3GHz equals a 6GHz CPU when of course us clever clogs all know its only 3 GHz

I have e-mailed him, I'm waiting a reply. I'll keep you posted as I'm sure your dying to know what happens!!
Well, I think that's a bit sneaky, and I was bored, so I kindly asked him to change the values (not that he will.)

"PLEASE change your details from 6 Ghz to 3. It is misleading. You know as well as I that the people who buy PCs off Ebay are sometimes not the most technologically savvy people out there. I understand that the 6 Ghz is the product of the two cores, but no one else advertises their products in this sneaky manner. The clock speed is not 6 Ghz, it is 3 Ghz on each core. Truth in advertising means that you could be sued if someone buys one of these only to find out you skewed the data."

We should do like Amnesty International and get everyone on this site to email the guy, lol.
You would be surprised at how much this guy knows, my bet is he knows fine well how it should be advertised but just wants to make his PC's sell all the better for christmas.
Its not like he's charging £2000 for them. Anyone who buys one will still be getting a bargain. If you know enough about PCs to know that 6GHz is very very fast then you know enough to know that it actually means 2x3GHz. If that makes sense.
But I bet you will get a lot of parents that know naff all buying PC's for their kids for Xmas (anyone spring to mind) and they will be ripped off slightly.
