I was just wondering if there was ever or will ever be a "Open Wheeled Endurance League"

I was thinking a tad like MoE but not as long in the race formats but close to you know. But yeah was just wondering if there ever was a league like this.

See good in theroy though i dont know the first thing about starting a league so help could be appreciated there, but i was just wondering if it had ever been thought of before.
The Pro's and Con's of a league like this, the intrest and all of that kinda basic stuff.
