For what exactly? You can try deleting the crap Motorola give you (although from memory a lot of stuff needs a P2K edit to remove...), or just drop a bigger memory card in.
dang quickest reply ever! and nah they dont hav an sd card, i think you can do it with some sort of program but im not sure what....
thanks anyways
I dunno, I deleted a bunch off of my phone using a p2k editor for Mac, just because it was easier, but it's easier to buy a microSD.
it dosnt hav a micro sd slot, where can i get P2k?
Motorolla V3 does not have a memory card slot, the V3i does (worked in a mobile phone shop a while back, learned that, just so you know Im not a technology geek )

deleting unnecessary things from it doesnt help much, (so you save 2-8 MBs, big deal)
there is absolutely NO WAY of giving it more memory, not if you want to keep the warranty...
the problem is - NOBODY will take the job of fitting more memory into it as it is a complicated task and basically it's cheaper to get a V3i
Besides, Motorolla is not very good with media, why would you want more memory?

my advice - get a Sony Ericsson, the K800i is a good choice (NOT THE K810i), it feels good, the materials are nice, it's kinda big, but that's why I like it, plus we tested it, and we gave him 2GB memory card filled with total rubbish (JPG, AVI and stuff like that) and it still worked quite fine, even though the mem.card was full...plus it's not a new model so you can get one for a bargain...and it's rare...

but of course if you don't like it, theres the Samsung U600 which is nice but not manly enough, the Shine series from LG which are in my opinion rubbish comparing to U600, the F300 from Samsung is a nice choice if you want to work with media...

lots of options are now on the market...
HOLY KABONAS! wow u sure know your stuff buddy! oki doki ill hav a gander at the K800i sounds pretty good thanks mate..

p.s love ure picture

Motorola took an existing phone that sold well (the E398), then when it was out of date they updated it and made the ROKR. They then "updated it" with less features and extra stuff, but made it thinner. Yay.

More than happy with my flashed E398, video recording, Quad Band, lots of cool stuff, 1 GB memory card. Ironically even though the L6 has none of this it's probably worth half of what the L6 is!

I can second this recommendation, it's the best phone i've had. Until i turned it into a big useless pile of bits in a fit of rage (not with the phone i might add )
Great camera on it too, if you look for that kind of shizzle on your phones.
I know on the Motorola V3x there was a app program to clean crap from the phone resulting in a excessive amount of more space it also included different flashing color instead of blue i think it was from Motorolahacktools.net nt sure.. but thats for the V3x like mine what do u have?

jsut a V3?
yeah bro shes just a v3, its the new 1 tho, V3 black
I have a Sony Ericsson P910i, which is the cell phone I have had for the longest time. It's incredibly usefull and versatile, BUT it is on the pricey side. You should be able to get used ones on ebay relatively cheap.
geez i didnt expect this pointless thread of mine to get so spicy

no wherd i put that turkey?

If you want a repository of Hacking stuff for Motorola phones, the site i learnt most from is motomodders.net.
motomodders ay, thanks jak ill shall have a look, i have to leave for school now unfortunetly, only 2 more days till the holidays WOOOOOOHH
Quote from squidhead :...and we gave him 2GB memory card filled with total rubbish (JPG, AVI and stuff like that) and it still worked quite fine...

i can top that
i have a sony erricson w810i and use a 4gb memory stick pro duo card (intended for the psp as a savegame container) successfully in it...
I read about this in some forum and the tech-support-blogger said it doesn't support these amounts of memory.
Downside of the phone is the bad audio quality due to low-bit volume ramping on the dsp.
So no amplifier volume ramping here, the signal is processed before it runs trough the amplifier, and that pre-gain processing messes up the resulting signal.
And i have a klicking sound between track changes every now and then.

So, i hope that will be solved someday in the next few years on another phone generation
