im looking for a speaker upgrade from what i have now i have a 20watt samsung 50$ job im looking for something with a bit more oomph and that i can plug my ipod into budget 50-200$ can anyone help me find something good

Are they going to be used as PC speakers? I wouldn't go 5.1 if you plan on mostly listening to music, something in the 2.1 sector like the Megaworks I have can be found for around £50 in the UK now, however they are discontinued.

For computer use alone they are one of the best 2.1 systems you can get sub £100, which for me is good enough.

i will be using htem for pc for music purposes only so i should get something 2.1? how many watts???

Don't just go on wattage alone, that's not a measure of quality - or loudness for that matter.
