The rules don't need to change for the actual server, it's just a filter so that people not interested in crusing or drifting don't need to go through such a large list.

It is the drift servers in the list that is the problem (note: not a problem with you drifters, just problem is the sense of filtering the list). Drift servers are by far, more in quantity than the cruise servers.

It is a start for the filter. I would guess that Scawen could possibly have something in his thoughts about making a selectable server option to chose drift/cruise/race category eventually.

But the filter itself is a piece of cake. When the host is setting up the server, they get a box that says:
[ ] Race | [ ] Drift | [ Cruise ] | [ ] Drag

Then host as normal.

Client comes along, un-checks Drift, Cruise and Drag from the list and get a server list that matches the filters. There is absolutely no change to any of the server rules needed. The current "Cruise" category is purely to allow driving the wrong direction, it's not a client filter.
