Mum! I'm on TV!
A friend of mine, got pulled over in her Peugeot 206 tonight and after going over to help her out (expecting her to burst into tears and go "I don't know") I noticed there was a guy stood with the "filth" holding a big TV camera in which I said to my mate "He has a camera" We then had a very nice chat to the policeman and I asked him about my German style number plates, and if they were road legal or not. He said they were but I might get some knobby copper who just wants something to do will more than likely pull me over for it...Blah blah.

The copper said they were filming another one of these "traffic cop" type programs called "Night Cops" due to be shown on "Sky One" so keep an eye out

P.S...The auto-search thing gave me a thread from 2006 called "My mum and dad are being slags" Very nice.

ROFL!

I will try and keep a lookout for you, but seing sky one got taken off when virgin took over telewest.....bastards!

Oh well, youtube FTW!!
I would be very surprised if I was actually shown. But I tried really not to go down the "i'm on tele, look at me acting like a cock" route. Its hard when there is some guy with a big camera in his hands smiling at me a little oddly...
Auto-search FTW!

Hard to not keep looking at a camera when it's being pointed right at you. Just like a holiday movie or something, theres always one who keeps looking back and forth at the camera.

No Sky One either here, same as Frenchy. Virgin are crap.
Like my dad said, "How can they be called Virgin when they keep shafting people"

Richard Branson can lick my left one as far as I'm concerned.
Lol!

I guess you meant to say that the Pc Plum said that your German plates were legal?

Funny that, I've never been pulled over yet after nearly 2 years on the road (Ok, so one year was on a flymo) and now your not only getting pulled over but your on damn TV for it too!

On the plates thing again, You'll probarly find that if they wanna do you for having differnt plates then they probarly will, especcially when they see a young guy at the wheel. Probarly where mine is ok, its a cheap corsa and it's pretty much stock apart from the paint job and alloys, give it some NawZ stickers and and a hole in the exhaust and i'll be getting stopped every day of the week.
LOL! That earned itself a place on my sig. Nice one!

I did mate, yes. Thanks for pointing it out

OMG OMG OMG! Bawbag replied to my thread

I have heard sooo many things on the number plate front, I have heard they are 100% illegal, I've heard they are legal as its all part of the EU and they are legal only if they are reflective.

I showed him this and this picture, in which his first reply was "nice car" and he said as they are reflective and they are easily readable, you shouldn't get much trouble
Oh right, looks more than fine to me, I was just curious because my dad had some private plate on his old car, but after a year he he got stopped for them and had to change them.

Added a pic, I think he knew when he got them that the font was illegal, font was only for show days or something.

Btw I replied because I share some things in common with this thread, like Mr Branson lickin me testicle and the legally illegal number plates.

Is his name Ed?

I was with my dad a few weeks back and we saw an Audi A4 Estate with mud all over the back of the tailgate and you couldn't read the number plate for toffee. A week later, we saw the same car (We assumed it was the same car, we couldn't read the number plate -_-) and it was in an even worse state than the week before.
There is some really cool Mondeo going around my village with the font so "italic-ed" it looks like its vertical, I couldn't even read it. He has still got the number plate on after 6 months. I have seen him everyday, so its not as if he takes it off for a few days after ear ache for the rozzers.

Yet, a slightly italiced plate or a German one which is just as easy to read will get me a £30 fine.
As I said, young guy in a beemer Probarly wont be a rare thing getting pulled over, it's nopt every day or week or month you see a new driver in a nice beemer for their first car, alot of people would be pretty sceptic as to whether you are on the road legally. In 6 months you'll probarly know all the plums who stop you by their first name anyway and planning each journey with an extra 5 minuits so you can get pulled over by new your blue mates.

And yea, his name is Ed, how'd you know that?
Let's just say it was a hunch

I am quite innocent looking as well (Yea right...) so I shouldn't have too many problems

I expect when I have been pulled by almost every member of the plod, they will cut me a bit of slack, after knowing I do have a license, the car is mine, and I do have insurance

God bless the police. They are only doing their job I 'spose, shame it has to be at my expense though.
