1) too much black screen in the beginning...I see you wanted to sync it to music, but it doesn't work
2) low (ish) FPS
3) black and white transition doesn't even come close to doing any good, but you seem to love it
4) it took you 48 seconds to start the action, you can afford that much if you got 6+ minutes of movie
5) moving camera while recording - looks BAD
6) FFWD looks BAD
7) then you give us some time to sleep while the black screen is on again
8) what was the XFR for?
9) some really jerky camera movement
10) scenes where nothing happens
11) Rear view mirror present in custom cam has the ability to ruin any movie
12) Ending looks like you got bored with making a movie, fast transition, and that's final...I got the feeling the video footage has ended and you didn't care to make the ending logical and expected
13) The video doesnt do Motorhead any justice
I didn't ask for critisism, either you enjoy, or you just shut up. Simple.
It's my first movie, ever, and I only had Windows Movie Maker, YOU try syncing ANYthing with that. But at least you got the impression that i tried, so somehow it must have worked.
Have a Christmas (and please note how I didn't write good anywhere in that sentence).
I posted it here, so people could se my work. It is not my goal to be a film-maker, its just something I tried for the laughs of it. My friend and I had a good time making it, and now it was made, why not put it where here. I think that was the most obvious thing to do.
I didn't say "stab me with every negative thing you possibly can find in my first ever movie", I said "enjoy", which you apparently didn't. Know what? I don't give a sh.., to be quite honest.
I posted it on both a swedish and a danish car-forum, and only recieved 1 negative comment:
"Is the graphics from an Amiga?"
out of 15 comments, which I am personally very happy with.
You could simply have stated "Didn't like it", and then if I where interested, I could have asked you why.
Christmas to you. (Here I would like to refer to a former written sentence)
Now... from my experience reading and posting here about LFS videos, i've learned four important things.
First you must be totally open to free criticism, other wise dont post.
2º There is a wide variarity of users, and there for lots of diferent opinions.
3º This Forum and this section specifically is the main place to see and comment LFS videos, soo here it's harder to impress.
4º The videos that we make our selfs, are never as good as we think
For exemple....squidhead...he's not an "regular" viewer of videos imo, because i really think he see's them all and he actually has some professional background, that is the reason i think, of those mistake's list.
Imagine of the 100% viewers of your video/videos( I hope), 99% are here to say that they liked the video and soo on,....good, but you have to save that 1% that actually doesn't focus on the good parts, on the contrary...they only give tips or solutions to some mistakes. I know...sometimes taste's like sh## ...but they are the ones that really help and in a strange way motivate.
Btw, i know that when we make a video and post it, we would like to see only good replys but,.....sniff...sniff.....fill that?? ...uhummm Coffe....
