I don't usually post to this forum much, I like off-topic better. But when I do it's with a borderline off the wall suggestion. This one is no different.
Everyone goes on and on about racing cockpits and stuff like that with the GTR cars - especially the FZ. Personally I don't care what they do eventually, so long as they LEAVE THE CLOCKS IN! . Other than that, I don't care. But what about the street cars? I'm thinking maybe they should have street cars interiors be easily personalized to suit the individual's taste, but they should also do something else.
They should make like ... white noise effects and slight visual distractions. Have you ever had a car that had this tiny imperfection
where the wind catches the car a certain way and a really annoying noise occurs? or like the way a logo or symbol or something is attached to the car somehow and for some reason, it's not on square. It's off just a little bit and and if you ever discover this little screw up, ...man, IT'S ALWAYS THERE... IT'S ALWAYS THERE!.
And make that feature truly individualistic, where it happens at random for each players cars. Where one persons rattling in their RB-4 is different from the slightly off colored part of the speedometer of some one else's RB-4. Nothing too distracting, just enough to make the difference of a few thousandths of a second.
And make it to where it's related to the creation of the set-up, and if discovered and truly distracting, the only way to get rid it is to make a different set-up and use that. (make another car)
You know, a lot of people complain that the cars look "dated". Well I think they do too. I like that about the cars, because if I was to ever somehow race a sports car, it's not going to be in a late model car. and older cars do have those things like I suggested.
Tire deformation and fuel consumption and all that are really good, but.... I dunno. Just a thought.
