The online racing simulator
automatic update [sets etc. reset]
Hello everyone,

just one simple question please:

is it normal that the game resets all of my individual setups when i´m using the automatic update? Even the registration has been gone.

Is there a way to avoid that?

thank you
Goose
The folder for the sets has changed. They now go in the "setups" folder. Plus you have to rename them so that the 3 letter abbreviation of the car is at the front of the name. There is a program that can do this for you here.

Most of your old sets will be slower because of some physics changes, though.

And it's normal that you have to re-unlock, AFAIK.

The setups have been moved and renamed. This patch contains physics improvements so the setups from your previous version should be revised anyway. Yet you can still move them to the right place. A way to automate this: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=34784

After every major update you will have to unlock again, that's normal.

Updated version
I have just updated the new version in the automatic mode.
I have lost my registration and setups.
Could you tell me what happened ? Is that normal ? I dont think it's fair or correct, because i have paid for it.

thank you
Bruno Nelson.

What about reading this thread in which you just posted?
You need to re-unlock after the update to Y. The setups should be moved to the "setups" folder and the long name of the car should become the 3 letter code (eg FXO Turbo_ becomes FXO_). There's a tool to do it in Unofficial Addons

And yes, read damnit

Must have been a very fast mod then.
