Best wheel to get for a new FFB user?
What is the best wheel to get for a new FFB user? I am trying to figure out what I want so I can buy it after christmas when I get money.

It depends how much you want to spend and how much you want a shifter/3 pedal setup. In the grand scheme of things the G25 is a badly built mass produced wheel that seems to have a lot of complaints about the shifter, the DFP is half the price equally badly built doesn't have quite such good feedback, although I wouldn't really worry about that, people make it sound far more important than it is with a lowish lock angle. If you've really go the money then go for high end equipment, the investment will pay off by the time your on your second G25. If you haven't go the money I'd stick to a DFP or Momo, cheaper to replace and almost as good.
But if something happens to the DFP...am i able to send it back and get a replacement?
Look for me.A tricky solution to also have shifter is that. Buy a momo racing(really good) and one FFB joystick. It's cheaper than g25 but u have 2 pedals. To make the shifter with the joystick it's really easy. Now if u got a lot of money look on betta innovations page.
I see theres 8 for the G25..Well I dont want a wheel thats gonna break every couple weeks and not be able to play on it...You look i the problems page and wadda ya know...its all pretty much about G25..you hardly see anything about any other wheels...

ha very funny guess that was sarcasme(i know i cant spell) because sure dfp's never overheat never die on you and never break in many ways at once g25's rule you only being nasty about them because u havent got one.

I think they both have the same warranties so if you buy a new DFP you'll get identical cover. Logitech seem to be pretty good at honouring warranties and just sending out new wheels, often the broken wheels can then be fixed and you end up with two

Seriously though the build quality of the internals of the main part of both the DFP and G25 are fairly similar, the only difference being the G25 has two FF motors which make the FF smoother. The only issue I know of with DFPs is the FF system killing itself but to do that you've got to give it a big shock with all the FF sliders maxed out, which you don't need to do. I think that's pretty rare anyway. Most of the issues to do with the G25 have been with the shifter, that doesn't seem very well designed and built. It may be better (and cheaper) to find a second hand high quality shifter and get a DFP than buy a G25. The only issue with that would be what to do with the pedals, you could either find another cheap old pedal set (like I've done) and use that for the clutch or look at the high end or self-build options. If you really want 3 pedals and a shifter the G25 (or possibly Thrustmaster) is the cheapest complete package.

There's little question that a G25 is a better package than a DFP. The thing is though it's twice the price and whether it's twice as good is subjective. Don't go on the results of this poll it's like asking what's better an M3 or an M3 CSL.

Wahahaha....Funny kid..I don't care that I don't have one, I could go out now and buy one if I wanted to.

But seriously, do you have to send the WHOLE wheel, pedals and everything back to just get a new shifter?
I have problems with my dfp as well it needs lubricating every 3-5 weeks depending on use or else it makes a hugely loud and vibrating grind idk why but it just does gonna see if logitech replaces mine but i think it wont considering that I opened mines
every 3-5 weeks isnt bad...thats what i was wanting to know if Logi will replace if something happened to it...So its a lifetime warrenty?
No just your basic 1 yr limited warranty with restrictions

Normally they send out the new one and request that you chop of the connector of your old wheel and send it to them, they never seem to check though.
Alright....But I dont get why they have you cut off the connecter...wait..is it the connecter that goes to the power outlet?

yeah but momo has crappy pedals comparing to g25

English:i believe that its better to take a g25 even if it takes a bit long i also have found it in a good price only 240euro
I don't want a G25 like i said. The shifter breaks all the time, and i have no reason to want a clutch because LFS is the only game I play and im fine without a clutch or a shifter...

then choose dfp

if you have the warranty send it back to the shop were you bought it
Based on others reports I think it's quicker to just call the number on the warranty card, despite the fact it tells you to go through the retailer first.
