Something I want to .knw
I know the AI can be setup to race and learn or else they cream you from behind, but are the knw files portable? Can they be shared or downloaded?

The reason I ask is obviously so we wouldn't have to set up our PC's to just run AI practice sessions for 60 laps. I guess maybe I'm answering my own question becuase it would seem that if this is indeed possible, then no one would really train the AI and the devs would have included knw files for all cars/track/skill combos. So what's the real answer and can any knw file be added to the in game training sessions so the AI doesn't run into you when the objective on the class is to drive carefully? I forget which training level this objective is from.
Yes they can be moved, swapped, backed'up, etc. Each .knw file is individual per AI. If you call them useful things, like "BL RallyX-Colin", they should be easier to work out which is best suited for what.

i tried to get the training thing to work, but i used an easy to drive FM pack on the oval and thy kept on going lock-to-lock, then i tried bobs sets and it still did the same!
I must admit, i very very very rarely do anything with the AI these days, but I'm fairly sure that if you leave the AI for a little bit, they get better at the Oval. Unfortunately I dont think they understand the concept of banked corners at the moment.
I had a day to kill last week and I set the game up so the AI uses my setup. I then ensured that I filled up the tank but the AI could never finish more than 17 laps. Am I doing something wrong? I don't mind training them, but the lazy bastards always seem to stop. Maybe they fell asleep :-)
Give 'em a reward or something. Dangle an electronic carrot from a stick strapped to the bonnets, that might make them keep going . .
Which car / track. I'll bet they've run out of fuel tbh.

After enough training the AI does really well. I had no internet for 3 months and by now I don't have a problem with driving complete segments of most tracks beside the AI without a touch. The AI keeps it's space to me, the AI knows where it can take over and where it can't, the AI even drives alternative lines when I pick the inner/outer line through a corner beside it. I sometimes think the AI races better/safer than most people on public servers.
But the AI doesn't understand that RWD cars have a limit you can't cross without spinning. So usually only 50% of the AI-field survive a 10-lap race without falling behind due to spinning on RWD cars. Also the AI doesn't know the effects of drafting on downforce-cars.
That means, if you want good AIs, let them train on FWD or better AWD cars without downforce.

Oh, and the .knw files aren't completely seperate. The AI learns how to avoid contact with other cars on one track and can use this knowledge on other tracks.
And another hint: Make a really slow setup for one AI, and let the other AIs race normally. Choose a very small track. The normal AIs 1-8 (or whatever number) will then take over the slow AI9 every 5 laps and learn how to take someone over without crashing (which means: drive *beside* them).

clered all the old trainings, now it works fine!

EDIT:Now the laptimes come back down, the wheel shaking returns! i give up!
