At your service sir Recently youtube-googled vids on this subject. Just go to the youtube and search with words "heel toe [racing series/car name]". Altough you probably gonna find lots of some ricer n00bs trying to doing that.
This one from ALMS. It's sequential but Porsche drivers are often thought to use heel & toe:
These are from V8 Supercars, which is using H-pattern (dogbox?). This is really interesting upshifting: usually normally clutching, but sometimes just lifting off and at least once he totally flatshifts:
Ah yess, what great cars! I have some old VHS Tapes of the 90 IMSA GTO and 200 Trans Am Cars.
A nice Addition to your Video will be this Sound Recording... I have the Originals on CD, but Youtube is better than nothing.
Seen this one before, it's like he has twice the power of other guys, or he's the only one who can race and others are tourists who race the first time or something like that.. Looks unreal..
Not sure how I've missed this lot before but here's over an hours worth of footage from the Bathurst 1000 in 1991 (Pre V8 Supercars) There's fourteen parts too it. Enjoy
Was good, but could anyone deny that they got absolutely giddy watching Patrick Snijers in that E30 M3 around Isle of Man? Imagining that in a LFS just would be nuts.
Twould be good fun to have a course to "duel" on though.
About to get my new monitor tomorrow and I've been getting a few HD clips ready for it. I've got a few films, but now I'm looking for some car stuff in HD (1080 would be great, but 720 would be good too). At the moment I've only got a few short promo clips of F1 (1080i that I downloaded from a HD Forum a couple of years ago). They're just general pitlane stuff that appears to have been filmed at Hockenheim in 2004/2005, not actual racing. So, does anyone have links to racing (preferably F1, but doesn't have to be) in high definition?
I was sitting in the Rally Info at the service park which meant that I was giving information (in Finnish, English, French and a couple of words in Spanish also...) to teams or drivers who passed by and also other people that just wanted some info. Basically our main job was to be an info spot to the teams but as the area was free for anyone to pass by, we also helped tourists and rallyfans
And as the worktimes were organised so I had to work for only half a day, I could use the other half to walk around and even had time to go check the shakedown stage at Laajavuori
(The shakedown is actually quite nice as you see the top cars multiple times, it's free to enter and you get really close to the cars.)
It was fun and I'm planning to go again next year
As to HD footage, the only true HD I've seen of F1 is the 1080i testclip recorded at Hockenheim '03 which you talked about and a screenshot from FujiTV of the '06 race, but that's all. There should be some HD stuff from American series though (Nascar and IRL).
