This story was on the news yesterday, apparently the father was in his car with his 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter following him on their new quad bikes.

Okay, now I agree to bad parenting

I knew someone who was massively rich over £10 million in his pocket, would come to my mates house and blow £2000 on poker without hesitation.
He got a road legal quad and rode it with no helmet, my friands dad told him to wear one, but he said he would soon. And that day he spun it backwards hit a kerb came off smacked his head on the road and died instantly.

Ive had a quad since i was 5 years old, safer than bikes id say ive only come off twice, 1 was my fault the second wasn't. oh actually 3 times (the wheel snapped off) thats how hard i pushed it.

Quads are only dangerous if your being stupid with them and not wearing anything to pretect you.

And letting a 7 year old on a quad and not watching them is just pure stupidity.
