Deal is, i have the internet hooked up, and tested the settings, it's all perfect. I created my live account on xbox.com, but when i try to recover it on my xbox, it says "Xbox LIVE sign up is currently unavailable. Please try again later." I can't fix it, and xbox.com won't give me an answer. Is sign-up temporarly shut down, or and i screwedfor now? Any and all help is welcome.

edit: Earlier this week the signup server crashed because so many people got live for Christmas. Which could be why it's down.

XBL is not running fine this last 10 or 15 days. Keep trying,

For some reason, microsoft and Atari seem the same to me now, both can't get it together if something happens.

After doiing some searching, i'm thinking my prolem might be that i am trying to migrate an account that is in it's free trial. I have to wait 2 months for the trial to burn out by the looks of it.:mad: maybe I should freeze myself until then...

XBL has been up and down like a brides nighty, I heard that they had (temporaraliy) suspended new sign-ups till the system was sorted, maybe thats why?.

It's not the most stable online gaming platform in the world, but you will get on eventually.

It turns out the reward you get for putting up with the connection issues is a free XBLA game. I'll leave it up to you whether it's worth it or not - I had no connection over the holidays anyway so I didn't miss out
I can recommend Bomberman Live though - that was the first XBLA game I bought. Exactly the same as I remember, totally crazy online play, and a nice but strange collection of appearance options. And for retro footy fans, SWOS is out now too.

I got it working now, but i have to start a new profile in Forza by the looks of it. And i was at least 80% done.

It's been bugging the crap out of me the last few days with the XBL problems. Hopefully they will sort it out asap.

Just as a heads up, MS are giving all gold XBL users a free live arcade game because of all the XBL issues.

Geo wars is one of the only games that makes me want to throw my pad against the wall

I've found it higly addictive, I found it via PGR4 - an arcade machine in the virtual garage has geo wars: waves on. Now I think i've spent more time playing geo wars than PGR4 itself. Vaguely recall a similar thing in PGR 1 or 2 on my old xbox as well.

Got given a promo "Live Unplugged" disk which has it on, sorely wish there was a way to play it from the HD with this, annoying the disk has to be in to play.
