Would I be correct in saying that it's perfectly legal to watch copied movies/TV episodes on Youtube, Stage6, whatever, as long as you don't download them?

I mean, if you haven't downloaded them, technically you haven't breached any copyright laws, right? If someone shows you a DVD, but you don't know it's a pirate, is it illegal to watch?

The law IMO is quite grey in this area...

Show me a way to watch videos on YouTube, Stage6, whatever without downloading them. Even when streaming the video, it is still downloaded on to your harddrive into temporary files. Atleast I think so...

Yes, but only into a temporary cache, where it's deleted as soon as you close your browser. Besides, I haven't given my browser explicit permission to download it...
