I have to say Ron Paul's almost as anti-government as I am... and apparently he's actually read the constitution. The "rest" of the "republicans" are just fascist war-hungry money-wasting blinded-by-the-light hunt-down-the-muslims biggot Bush-supporters. Basically what I can't stand about the leftists is how they want a big government to run everything and do everything for you.

W/R/T wasting money, if I had it my way, we'd take after Switzerland—or better yet, Costa Rica. NOT North Korea!

And regarding most of the issues debated, it shouldn't be any of the fed's business! Let the people take care of themselves at the individual level.
Quote from greg_slideways :I would dislike it and do sumtin BAD and go to jail for! U can make up w/e u want lets just say we would need a new one!! haha im sorry aint ready for a women president! she hits her peroid and hits the lil red button kills us all!

Seriously, I had a shred of sympathy for you before, when you initially started the "wigger?" thread. Now, you have absolutely no right to complain. You're racist and sexist.
Can someone please revoke greg's thread creating/opinion posting card?
Also, I find it incredibly amusing that Ron Paul is the candidate of choice for the White Nationalist community.

I'm not ready for wiggers in LFS.

I find it quite amusing how someone that is sexist, homophobic and illiterate has the nerve to start a thread about how he feels offended by being called a wigger.
Quote from h3adbang3r :We are already on the road of losing our capitalist status and headed towards socialism. Why, do you ask? Laziness. Democracies have never lasted more than 200 years, and so many people here are wanting something for nothing. People are losing the desire to work for a living and want to mooch off the government. We will end up socialist, and eventually become a full dictatorship. And of the country lasts long enough, democracy will kick back in for another couple hundred years.

What the hell does socialism have to do with dictatorship?

And LOL at those who say Democrats are lefties

Anyway, this is the country that elected Bush TWICE, so I expect anything from these elections... Who knows we might even get some new crusades with those fundamentalists Romney and Huckabee I'm glad I don't live over there, tbh Ron Paul wouldn't be too bad, I hear he wants America to mind their own business, wouldn't be too bad. Shame he's got no chance at all. As long as they don't start blowing Europe up too I'm safe
Ron Paul for the win. He and Kucinich are the only honest people in the race, but Kucinich's policies are a bit too socialist for my tastes.
And then americans wonder why they are called stupid and ignorant... Like one said a while ago... All the evidence is against them!

Yesterday night, on the news, I saw something about a flood in the US. The guy said: we saved a lot of important things: important papers, guns, ...
I came here expecting at least a photo of 2008 candadints - hell, I'd settle for one candadint, just to sate my curiosity as to what it is. Sadly, a perfectly good thread has been turned into a political discussion yet again and not a single candadint in sight.
Quote from greg_slideways :Well i want to get People from usa points of view i thinkl barak obama would be great to have a first black president!...Women not so sure yet!

"Would be great to have a first black president". That seems to be the point everyone makes when this guy is in the news. Yeah, let's vote on the basis of the candidate's skin colour. Oh wait, that's racism.
Quote from sgt.flippy :Yesterday night, on the news, I saw something about a flood in the US. The guy said: we saved a lot of important things: important papers, guns, ...

I fail to see the problem. In the event of a flood the first three things I'd save would be my family photos, important papers, and my guns. The third item guarantees that I can protect the first two (not to mention my life).

I think the rest of the world will see the problem

What do you need to defend your family from during a flood? Well, of course, the flood, but what's going to attack that you need a gun? Even multiple... The only thing you'd need a gun for, is for defending you from other people with guns... The circle of stupidity.
Why the hell would anyone need a gun? Except security forces ofc...
Quote from sgt.flippy :The only thing you'd need a gun for, is for defending you from other people with guns... The circle of stupidity.

Don't get me wrong, I agree entirely with you. But we all saw the anarchy in New Orleans, it needed the National Guard to begin to restore law and order.

If I was surrounded by that kind of people & culture, I'd be reaching for my guns too.
At US airports there really ought to be a gun hire booth next to the car hire booth. Just in case the locals decide to overthrow their tyrannical government while you're taking the kids to meet Mickey Mouse.

The rest of the world can, frankly, go piss up a rope. If you all want to give up your natural rights then go right ahead. However, I am not about to. History has shown that an unarmed populace is one of the first steps towards tyrannical government.

And if there was ever a time when you need to defend yourself it is during an emergency such as a flood. When there are hundreds of people around with no food or fresh water, you can guarantee that people will try to use force to get what they need. A firearm guarantees that I can resist such uses of force against me or my family. The police cannot protect you, nor are they required to. I choose to take responsibility for my own safety. If you choose otherwise, so be it.

Luckily I live in a country where most people will share my opinion. And we don't have those problems you describe either. So something is lacking in your explanation... The only person I know with a gun, is my brother-in-law, who is a police officer.

And as far as I know, american history has a tendency to show a lot of crap.

I guess that's the American mentality?

Quote :If you all want to give up your natural rights then go right ahead.

Natural right? How so? Are we all born with guns and then taken away from it? I really fail to see how there's anything natural about it. I haven't given up anything if I didn't have it in the first place. And no, I have never felt the need to have it.

lmao, that's just too much bullshit for me to take. Then how come my government is not tyrannical or anywhere near heading to tyrannic?
I'll tell you one thing though, Americans state they have guns to defend themselves against other americans. Yet statistics show that gun related crimes are way higher in the US then western europe.

Quote :The police cannot protect you, nor are they required to.

What are they for then? I thought it was to serve and protect?
Quote from Gil07 :What the hell does socialism have to do with dictatorship?

What I meant was after the U.S. has a socailist governemnt for a while, communisim may end up kicking in with some crazed, biased dictator running the place.

I don't think the US will have, in the next 10 billion years, a socialist party with even a remote chance of getting 1% of votes in an election. Republicans, Democrats, all right-wing maniacs...

socialism and communism are primarily economic systems. Still no explanation what it has to do with dictatorship.
It's probably a very American idea that Communism = Dictatorship.
