What Should I Get?
This is about graphics cards btw.

I'm a little bit of a n00b when it comes to upgrading computers (the only thing I've ever done is upgrade my RAM, hardly the toughest job in the world).
And I know there is another thread about graphics cards going on, but my computer has different specs and the sort... So please, no taking the piss. I just need some advice

Anyway, I have :

Intel Celeron D 3.2Ghz Processor
1GB of RAM
Current graphics card is : ATI Radeon Xpress 200..

I know I really need a new graphics card. But I haven't a clue what to look out for and I'm on a budget (really can't be no more than £100). I get about 30FPS on demo servers if I'm lucky, and on the grid it has even gone down to below 10 before.

So could I get any hints as to what would be best? The link below shows the ones that I can get nearest to me..

It depends on what your motherboard can take. Newer motherboards use a PCI-Express slot, which is the new faster standard.

Something like this would be more than up to the job - if your motherboard has a PCI-E slot.

If it doesn't and you're still on AGP, maybe something like this? I'm not up on my AGP cards, so I don't know the ins and outs of that particular model - but anything you can buy new for £100 now will be more than up to the job of LFS.

But, please, whatever you do - don't go to PC World. I picked a random graphics card from that page you linked, found the equivalent on the Overclockers UK site and compared prices. PC World was £79, OCUK was £41 - for the same card. I use OCUK for all my PC bits, and have never had anything but first class service, and prices.
Thanks for the advice, and I've been told before about PC World's prices.. It was the only website I could find with a store near to me..

Also, how do I check if my computer has a PCI-Express slot? And if it requires taking the cover off my PC what should I look for?

Look here, there's a good article expaining the differences between AGP and PCI-E.

Don't worry about going to a store to buy a card, any store will have horrendous markups on their GFX cards - use one of the 4 online shops mentioned.
