It seems the graphics industry has hit the brick wall the CPU guys hit a few years back so you won't be seeing these extreme improvements over previous gen we've been used to. Looks like it's going to be tweaking of existing architectures with some multi-chip action from here on out.

Back in the time when G80 came out, nobody believed either that there could be 680 million transistors on 90nm. So i think those specs what I gave, are true, because in the end it still is a new card and time has moved on.

You get lost coast with anything, in fact, isn't it just free, as I have always had it, and until I ordered TOB the last thing brought over Steam is a HL2 pre-order.

1) don't release demos for new games
2) find a way to convince people that free demos are in fact valuable gifts

I don't quite get how they solved step 2 but it seems to have worked. Anyone know what step 3 is meant to be? More Steam accounts?

Anyway, still a better move than ATI, who actually include Steam in their friggin drivers!

I guess they want people to tell their friends about the free demo, therefore making more people use Steam. Even if you aren't stupid enough to buy their software just because you got a free game, one of your friends might be! Where's the bunker on dm_airstrike? btw
