On the first one, the 6 year old threating to commit suicide, I suppose it was a judgment call, a bad one, but one the officer felt he had to make. As for the mother saying that a piece of candy or toy would be better, i seriously doubt that, my 6 year old cousin is more stubborn than me after 7 Magners cider.

The second one, the 12 year old lassie running towards the traffic, mmmm difficult one. If the officer had let the lass run onto traffic, not only could she have been killed, but also other innocent drivers could have been hurt/killed.

There all difficult situations to be in though, and not one I would want to be in.
