What my dad done to his mate on his b'day
This happened months ago but I thought of posting it when I watched it before to see what you think.
For all of you who think it was stupid and unsafe to do this then think again, my dad is a experienced excavator driver and a very good one at that, so no one would of got hurt. As you would of gathered by what I have said, my dad is driving the machine a mate filming it and the birthday boy putting a strap on a pipe what is only a set up so they can get him.

For all of those who live in plymouth or know the area, it is in devonport, st james street.

Heres the link to the video:

False! The bucket was way too low. Had he stood up earlier, he would have gotten a head full of excavator bucket rather than what he did get (don't want to spoil it for others).....

That said, nice job on the prank. Reminds me of the old days when where I work was just starting up and we were using the overhead cranes to dump 5 gallon buckets on each other.

That was... exciting?

"would of" vs. "would have"--place your bets now!

It's really an illusion, as the bucket swings around closer to the camera and out of the way. He would have had to jump. The bucket never gets lower than the horizon, and his head never got near that when he was standing upright.

Either way, wearing a hardhat... it wouldn't have been so bad.

That's really starting to piss me off around here.

Good prank

Not a chance mate, my dad can drive excavators very well, he has takes 6 tonne mini diggers up 5 foot walls without ramps, he is a very very good machine driver, anyway that bucket only had a little bit of water in, if it was full it would of knocked him right off of his feet or maybe of killed him, my dad knows what he is doing.

anyway when he got up he moved the boom out and swung around, the bucket was no where near him, no offence but I find that american excavator drivers are a bit to heavy on the controls, I have seen plenty of videos where an american is leveling out gravel and make a hash out of it, the thing to do is take it slow, so if you think it was dangerous, I will take more videos of him to show the safety used. Well anyway no need to get into a debate it was a very good prank, we tried to get it on you've been framed but there is to much swearing to block out.
