Cool video you made. But low FPS seems to be the problem. And maybe some scenes were too long. But other then that, good work!

You think a magical hamster on steroids does the work of recording?

It needs to read the entire screen and save it on the hard disk...frame by frame. Maybe the CPU is not the speed bottleneck, but your hard disk.

VERY POSSIBLE, I get up to 140 fps in my recording settings (1024x768, all settings to high) and the recording barely catches up with 30 fps because of a slow HDD...

the quality of the movie is secondary to the content so 8/10 easily

You can help matters by changing res, graphics options, etc. I fixed my poor frame rate just by recording everything at .250 and that did the trick, get ready for much larger files though!

I think my hard disk is running slow nowadays, especially my d:\ where i use it for FRAPSing, but i can record awesome footage from COd 4 really smooth but not LFS.

I think the framerate is _okay_, I mean, your video is not a slide show and I think most people don't care! but there's one more possible reason which may cause lower fps than you want: if you record with fraps, like I do, you might try setting lfs to 16bit ... for me it makes a big difference, though I got no idea why fraps doesn't like 32 bit
