OK, heres the deal.

I have, reluctantly given up racing, it's becoming a tad too time consuming and expensive too run, Rally cars with me tend to need replacement parts frequently.

So, with that gone, have decided to immerse myself into Sim-racing, and planning to build my own rig and system (much to the annoyance of the gf, but hey shes a woman what does she now). We already have a PC, but would like to buy a separate PC purely for Sim racing i.e. LFS, Rfactor, GP Legends, Nascar 2003 etc etc.

So I would like recommendations on just a tower/system. I have a TFT 21" screen winging my way courtesy of my brother and my birthday, and have a limit of about £350/450 however could go higher possible limit of £600. Any help greatly appreciated guys.

Would you be able to build it yourself, or would you prefer it came ready built like?
Go custom you can pick and choose the right flavor you like plus make it lot cheaper than going to OEM manufacturers like HP or DELL

Doh, had the feeling I forgot something. To be honest haven't put much thought into it. Obviously ready made has little hassle and less time consuming, but since I'm making my own rig, i may as well go the whole 9 yards and build my own.
You won't regret it (self-build). The quality of the components you get blows away anything you'd find prebuilt. I'm certain some of your fellow UK/Europeans will be on shortly to give a good build list for you.

If you were going the route of just buying one, i cant find much better than this.

Will play the type of game you want to play absolutely fine, will play everything really. £527.58 inc VAT, although you would need to add the price of an OS to that.

You can get a better spec PC for your money if your building it yourself, something like this would be pretty ideal.

Thats assuming you need vista, and if you fancy the look of that case and PSU. Case is also available in black

Hmmm, still don't know if going with a 64bit operating system is the right choice just yet, especially for a newbie as it could cause jus a little bit of unnecessary hassle
Also, 21" TFT? You're going to want to look at the 512MB version of the GT.
