I would pick a Mini UNLESS you are going to put on a lot of miles but I am biased

Old cars require you to keep a good eye on fluids etc or you will kill them. I had to get rid of my Mini as I am doing about 25000Km/year and if I hed kept longer would have killed it.

The Mini is a brutally honest drive because none of the controls are damped or assisted like a modern car. It is a far more direct connection between you and the road. The car reacts to the slightest move of your right foot etc

The rewards are a car you can throw about and explore car dynamics and get huge feedback about what you are doing.
get a proper car, a e30
If the choice is nice car not much money i say

Go for tha suzuki swift!!
Get The Audi
Not that the original post made much sense..but the Audi 100 is basically an early A6, correct? They're reliable cars, some good engines too.

Boring as you like to look at & drive though

+ Several million!!!!

Swift FTW!!!

Nippy as fe*k, superb road holding, economical, cheap to insure, great fun to drive, mega reliable, can get good ones cheap(ish)..but watch for body rot underneath!!....I could go on, or I could always sell you mine, but it will cost you a bit more than €700 (try an offer around €1500 for mine )

I suppose you are right, but the quality of an A6 isn't the same as a 100, whether or not it's older.

swift .. thats the one ... agree
Go for the new Tata Nano if it gets over there and you could save half your money but have a brand new car.

What ever car you will choose, make sure it is RWD or at least 4WD/AWD, shitty FWD is not really fun at all.

Well at least when I got behind wheel of RWD car it was like I would found back home after being lost for few years
im 26 and dont even have a drivers license (no money).

only problem is the reno badge lol

is it the 1.6 or the 1.4

but if its the 1.6 u will love the coils dieing every year and the cam belts due in 2k and u better change it!

only other thing that goes on them is the tb and the tdc sensor

ex reno mechanic so i hate them lol only good ones were the older cars easy to fix and cheap 1990 and below

but they should get better soon as they are now putting nissan engines in them

it's the 1.4, a guy in work has owned it since new and he and i both work in motor trade/part distribution, so it has been looked after and getting cheap parst is never a problem either

Working on the renos is a bitch, I give the ould lad a dig out the odd Saturday in the garage he works in, and the thinh I despise most is the way reno use so so many different sized bolts, its f'n annoying changin spanners and sockets 10 times to take off the gearbox or even the bloody battery has two or three different things holdin it on

it'll get me by though..
Get an E34 525i. Put Bilstein coilovers, and some BBS rims. and you're set!

wait... i'm describing mine. :-X
