You forgot Mothership...even though it WAS a recompile of an old compilation of old stuff...it STILL pwnt everything else!
hehe I never really got into led zep. I watch (DVD, TV, YouTube olol ) thinking.. 'I know that I think they should be good... but I don't'. Kick out the jams by MC5 any day of the week
Zep are good for a few reasons, but mainly because what they were doing was completely unique at the time. Page was and is a complete genius on the guitar, and Plant could scream til the cows came home. Proper old-school roots blues.

Some of their tracks go a bit weird in the middle, and I don't think that stands up to the test of time as well as the actual "music" parts do

I'll open myself up to flaming here by saying that II is still their finest album
I never really understood the appeal of Led Zep either. But then my guilty secret is I quite like ELO.

I wouldn't say completely unique. MC5 were rocking Kick Out The Jams in the same era, and in my opinion producing a more influential sound Zep, I dunno, they just don't mould together for me. I can see the riffage, the vocals, drums, and think this is good, I know, but I don't like it.

Fleetwood Mac (when Nicks is lead vocal)! Now there's a band! lol
Quote from Dajmin :It's all relative really.

Most POPULAR music is crap,

aye loon yer nae wrang there lyk, I dont listen to music with english words, 99% of my music is world, containing about 60gbs of Indian music :cyclops:

I saw some footage of a concert Fleetwood Mac performed in 1969.
This was before McVie And Nicks. Man they rocked hard! I was told by some old hippies that FLeetwood Mac used to be a very hard act, but I wasn't prepared for that. Sounded like some cross between Cream and Iron Maiden.
LOL With the way things are going with rock music, I can sorta understand how fans of the big band era felt in 1953
