I think I know how to do that. And, its pretty darn easy w/ flash!

Haven't seen the trailer(very low speeds from rapidshare here), but I think that moving pit door trick(which was done in another movie before) can be done by going up or down with the camera. Was it shift + cursors? Don't remember exactly.
