A very weird DFP problem
Hey

I only got my DFP yesterday and i set it all up it did but then i asked for someones dfp set up and it went away, but now its back.
What happens is i have either the game set up to what i steer game steers or about 400 degrees. But yesterday at first and now i can only turn my wheel about 20 degress lock to lock in game. THis obviusly makes driving difficult. And also sometime if i go lock to lock to lock etc in game the wheel starts throwin itself side to side on the FF untill i either hold the wheel central or i exit.
I maybe would of thought that the wheel was faulty or something but yesterday had it working fine and all of today. I unplueeged it all so i culd talk on msn (as takes up keyboard space) then went to plug it and this happened. Any ideas?
I usually set the amount of lock in the logitech control panel or windows. As long as the amount of lock is set up there, you should be able to turn the wheel that much. Then set it up normally in LFS and it should work fine. Although, now that you mention the side to side thing, something strange happened to me last night. I fire up LFS and the wheel kept moving left to right uncontrollably for some reason. It was too late to troubleshoot.

heres a replay of what the steering does, and my settings for my wheel.

The wheel will turn more than 20 degrees lock to lock, but thats all i need to turn it for lock to lock in LFS

I don't have a DFP, so I could be wrong, but I think you need to set the Wheel turn compensation to zero.
Me again. This is what confusses me, i have been looking at the settings in game and on the control panel. Last night i couldnt Find anything wrong and so far today i havnt. But for some reason or another my wheel is working again =S
All i have changed is the degrees of ratation too 900 in control panel with lfs still being at 720.
So i dont no if it my wheel is faulty or something, anyone else have a suggestion?

As far as i no the turn compensation is a factor (or ratio not sure) so if it is 0.5 the game turns half as much as u do, so as it is set 1 the rotations are equal. If someone knows if thats right or wrong let me no.

THanks.

I think you have taken the first approach - have you tried the second to see if that makes any difference?

Thanks, i have set my wheel up on that basis and works fine
Doesnt explain my weird steering but that could be down to my CP rotation being summit totally off of what lfs is. I will stick with those figures and see if i have any more problems
Thank you all

Only been playin lfs for a few months and S2 for about a month and any problem ive had ive aksed here. LFS is a great game and an equally good community.
