It's a product you put on your visor or windscreen, and it encourages water to bead and therefore be carried off at speed due to air movement. But if you let something with RainX on it get wet stationary, it just beads and forms a similar effect.

Much like polish on a car body, but polish can go white when wet, which is why you should never polish your windscreen.
