The online racing simulator
Heres a layout by me. Its my old trackmania stadium track, adapated to LFS.
A simple "foldback" track:

Where you can go left or right at the "0"s - your choice. 99% of the time, you be somewhere were other cars can be oncoming.
Oncoming traffic madness!

nice! sort of looks suggestive though .
However, it won't work. Because it doesn't use the default grid, only 1 car can start at a time
ok, dawes - will re-do using the default grid. Simple matter of making the center straight become either a long curve or have a curve in the middle. Though the prospect of having a 90-180º bend in the double lane part is pretty enticing.
OR - could simply make the center part become parenthesis shaped "(" with the "0"s at the ends.

QUESTION:
Can I do without the moon barriers and signal the course only with tires/signals/posts? With the amount of head-on colisions in this layout, Id prefer to keep the cars from reaching mars...
Done - go ahead, try it out (no screenshot this time - best to see if ppl can figure out the layout).

And dawes - BnJ is kinda dead atm cause there are not enough tracks, and one of them (Parkway) is waaaaaay too long with the lx4. One lap is 1:40-ish and its nine (!) laps.

It'll change the number of laps after 1 race (well, it usuall does!)
another layout: a chicane route.
I must admit the layout was inspired by the "xicane drifters" team name.
Made for the MRT-5, it is also superb for XRT - you you manage to drift around the very tight bends with it.

dont mind the horrid driving - that was me on my laptop, with a mouse, keyboard and no sound. (on a pretty SLOW pc, it still has 60fps!)

EDIT: this is made for safety, to prevent moon-high somersaults, hence the amount of tires.

Hmm, if the races are too long, maybe I'll bring it up in my nightly "Bitch at Sam about X-System" session.
Quote from Mille Sabords :Hi there,
I tried your layouts, here are my comments (my opinion only!)
All three versions are interesting in SP but do not allow opportunities for good fights on a B&J full field.

They start well but quickly turn into narrow twisty strips, with moon reaching barriers on both sides... that would probably be chaos with more than 2-3 cars on track!
Tracks that have success on B&J seem (imo) more simple, shorter and much wider than what you show here, allowing passing opportunities at more than 1 place on the track.
Track numbered ...#3 is at the moment the widest / easiest, could be improved to fit (at least) 2 cars at all places except chicanes? that may fit!

Yeah... But it´s not impossible as we tried it. Actually...it will be better to drive when everyone knows the track...But I can do next time wider tracks...I think you´re right.

Hmmm...And I got a new idea
my layout will not broke the car
couple new layouts:

One small figure 8, which will promise mayhem. Very nice with MRT-5s, larger cars will be door to door madness all the time.
Good for laughs.
Very few moon barriers to prevent frustration, path is marked by cones and tires.

And one large figure 8, with several jumps. 30m wide, so it can take any kinds of cars.
