ok.... but you can move your eyes too. A slight head turn with the combination of your eye movement easily gets you a 90 deg view.

You can almost get 90° just by moving your eyes, without moving your head at all. Valid point there.

Not if you know that when wearing a helmet, the helmet itself would limit your view a lot when you just look sideways with your eyes.
I'm IN!
I'm happy that lfs is going for more realism, i'm in!

It's not really *that* much, at least with the helmets I had on. Granted, with a motocross helmet and those goggles it's different - but we don't have those in LFS (yet, we could always hope to make it a motocross sim ). With eye and head movement you should easily be able to look 90°, even if you're restricted by a virtual HANS. Which we don't have. Heck, we don't even have seat belts

I tried it right now and I can only see about 45° without moving my head from a straight ahead position, but with my head at 45° I can move my eyes the extra 45° more.

What kind of special eyes do I need? Haha.
Well if demos count, Im in..

That's right for seeing detailed things. For a quick glance (Car there/not there) you should see a lot more. Try this: Put both your index fingers in an upright position before your eyes. Now start moving them outside on a circular line. You'll be surprised how long you still are able to notice them, even without moving your head (note: notice, not see).
The problem is, that most of the LFS users use one monitor, so you can't really have that noticing effect, so you need that glance-buttons. Since I still can get the 90° there, I won't complain, I'm just explaining
Whoa, I tried it and I really can see that far. Nice experiment.
not read any of this thread, but +1 for I like the new version, its better than ever!
Sure, I'm in... however 90 degree look is configurable as an option.
I can't believe how different this is now than year ago with Momo wheel. Several hours of practising, yet I'm 5 seconds off the pace, unable to brake properly, unable to recover spins, and miss-shifting every lap, but I'M LOVING IT!

Keep up the good work, Scawen!

EDIT: Afterall it wasn't that different, but helluva lot better!
I ll join!
Im in! I love LFS im getting s2 soon!

I have to say that I have not found LFS any harder or more demanding to drive since the patch. That said I have used H pattern and 3 pedals and driven as I would a real car since I started LFS. It always made me slightly slower than others but now its starting to pay off
how can you say LFS is more realistic? why dont you try and rev your engine (in real life) so that your burning your clutch... you will find that in real life it takes a hell of a lot longer, than in LFS.
Sure, I'll join. I like the new changes...except the clutch but like you said, it'll improve in time.

Please post a replay of you burning a clutch in LFS and the show a vid of you slipping the clutch for the same amount of time at the same RPM.

What controller do you use in LFS btw?

Out of interest have you EVER slipped you clutch at high RPM for a long time IRL? How long and at what RPM? If more then a couple of seconds at 4000+ rpm you WILL have smelt a burnt clutch!

No the clutch is not perfect BUT most people who post what you have assume they drive the SAME in LFS as IRL but when you watch a replay of them in LFS they do not drive realistically at all.
