oh, BTW, i think i am planning to do junior WRC during junior year of college!!!

So you think that you are thinking? Get a grip dude, do it or don't but don't hesitate like that

Try to find ways to enjoy speed safer ways, I guess that is what we are trying to say to you, so getting into some official form of motorsport is just a good thing

jk, it's actually very much stock, but i want to install a bull bar in front...

You know what we call those Bullbars here? Kid-Killers. Unless you plan on herding cattle around by bumping into it, do not install this kind of, excuse the pun, bullshit on your car. With it you pose a very lethal threat to pedestrians and especially kids when doing 20 miles per hour.

And it doesn't make your car more safe in case of unforseen accidents with wildlife. Just to demonstrate my point, i'd like to show you what my car looked like after hitting a doe at 80 kph (it came up an embankment literally in front of my car, I had no time to react, or brake, so I hit it with full force):

http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/8349/faceex5.jpg

As you see, the damage to the front, where a bull bar would have protected the front of my car, is minor. The damage where it hit after it became airborne is not though.
Additionally, if I'd hit the doe head on, and not with my light at first, my bonnet and front would have crumpled, thus it had absorbed more energy and wouldn't have launched the doe into the air.

So a bull bar only offers protection of your car front at low speeds, where you'd not get hurt anyway, BUT it poses a great threat for pedestrians and actually makes your car at high speeds less safe.

And I'd also like to add that any jerk who mistakes the public roads for a racingtrack should have his driving license revoked for lifetime. (don't get me wrong, I don't mean an occasional disregard of speedlimits by 10 or 20 kph)
And racing at night, where your visibility is hampered as are your concentration and reaction due to fatigue, is no less stupid.
well, i only introduced the gt5 thingy because of the rumors i heard and the acclamations by my friend who actually has it on his ps3. after he tried LFS, he calls it "tail happy and GTA-ish with some gimmicks such as suspension damage and clutch".

I just want to be clear that i just wanted to make sure that LFS is the best... but i am still testing RBR and NetKarPro along with a bunch of different sims...

If skepticism, curiosity and refusing to accept LFS right away is stupidity, then yes i am stupid in that aspect.

and yes, in retrospect, it is reckless to race in the snow on "touge"-like roads. even if i had AWD, but... no, i am a teen and i believe that i am immortal. unless: someone shoots me, or someone stabs me, or if someone hacks me up like in the beginning of scarface...yadda, yadda, yadda...

^damn... yes, what about rallying where anything can happen to you or your car? and by the looks of it, spectators too
Being a teenager is a bad excuse for stupidity...

^sigh... i am being sarcastic...

but keiichi has done street racing... and so i thought i can do underground before going pro... or at least in sanctioned events... there have been people who have gotten hurt on our roads but they are just being stupid. like during home coming last year... some dusch took his date to go drifting in his land rover... and flipped over the ledge, noone died but he suffered a broken arm and 2 broken ribs. his date got a few scratches, that's it.

all teenagers think they are good drivers and not much you can say or do will stop them driving fast. they have to grow out of it themselves. this guy is a perfect example in point.
Mercer Island, WA......

Just taking note of the location so I can remember never to be on the roads or near the roads there.......

moron.....

First of all, what is a "dusch"? Second, who the hell tries "drifting" in a fecking SUV? I know they were being stupid, but even a stupid person would have to be drunk to attempt that.

Level of stupidity has certainly increased over years, so I would think that would be completely possible without being drunk by today's standards.

I think he's trying to say douche. You know, the insult douche bag.

I agree. I even had a friend who drove all the way to Daytona in a "custom built" stock car (it was a VW minivan) and thought the NASCAR officials would let him try to qualify it

You do realize it's cheaper to race in real races than illegal street racing don't you? sometimes they don't like losing, so the other guy shoots you. sometimes the other guy is high in a stolen car and could care less if he hits you. Oh and there's getting busted. I think street racing is a felony in just about every state And to stay competitive... lol if you can't afford a license, I really doubt you could afford to keep up with those types.

You know, I bet it's because they quit showing snuff flicks in driver's ed. that kids today drive so stupid.
Just one thing.
If you can't afford to go to a track day, how the hell are you going to street race? With a stock used minivan?

Over here it costs $60 canadian to run on a drag strip for a WHOLE DAY. and if you want turns, they have realy cheap prices on race tracks in the area, I don't know how much it is for a track day, but its not that much at all.

If you can't get on a track to do it, DON'T DO IT.

Hahahahaha, that made me laugh alot.. as you can all see XD

So just because he didn't get killed its alright?

Street racing is only suitable if you want to either:
  • Die
  • Lose your job
  • Lose your car
  • Lose your friends

100% agreed, thats all I can say

eh?? i said nothing of a mini van... i drive compact cars... infact i drive a brand new 3rd gen impreza.

but 60?!?!?!, seriously, if i had 60 dollars to throw around easily, why would i still be a demoer? i am totally broke! i save money from lunch money from mommy and daddy to get stuff!!!

-jeeze!-
60's too much for a day's racing? Who pays for the gas in this brand new Impreza? Not you - your folks? Then stop wasting their money by burning around the road in the early hours.

Not your car? Then stop risking damaging someone else's property by hammering around public roads in the dark. Even if you do own the car it seems unlikely that you paid for it so, again, give the people who did pay for it some respect and stop treating it like a toy.
The sad thing is he's probably gonna crash his brand new Impreza, and I'll still be stuck with my old car
So to join in the flame war...

You said you own a car you want to put elk-filters on... you've talked about getting more cars soon, racing around and "testing" racing games, you RACE around in your parent's car and you've got no money at all... sounds like a total lack of responsibility and brain.

or in other words:

You stupid prick, if the world or god or anyone would care, they'd have given you a brain first of all!

Some of my friends have died because of drunk driving, "street racing" and even being run over by a f***ing idiot like you!

I can't put into words what I feel about you and your kind at the moment....
Please please go play with something poisonous, jump off a building or do something that kills yourself instead of endangering anyone near you!

no greetz

EDIT: and by the looks of it... someone who doesn't care about anything and is using his parent's car to drive races on open streets doesn't look like he's still a "demoer"....

You are becoming legendary for missing the point. If I had enough respect for you I would spill it out for you, but since you are persistent on being an idiot I suppose I should just leave you be.

There's a human invention called thinking, you might want to try it...it's quite enlightening I assure you...

Also Street Racing is the worse form of racing (LOL shouldn't even be called racing). But if you're content on being short changed by crappy drivers who think they're Michael Schumacher in idiotically (as well as dangerously) modified cars and does not understand the meaning of pure or clean competition then that's your problem.
If he is that broke I guess he owns the first subaru that runs on pee.
Leave it guys. His Impreza is only 3 inches long, die cast, and comes in a little box. And that isn't a euphemism!
yes, yes, yes, i drive a car paid by daddy, and i get a "fuel allowance" i occasionally work if i need some extra mu-lah
Get daddy to buy an s2 license too then, it shouldn't be a problem. It hasn't been for me, and I drive an old 1995 Peugeot 106 that my daddy bought.

If you drive recklessly (which obviously includes street racing) in that car then you show a total lack of responsibility.
