I'm curious if I'll need to upgrade to host. I guess I need to know if my connection is good enough, because I'd like to be able to host some races, like 12-16 cars would be nice. Presently I'm on a 10mb connection, with 800k upload, but I can upgrade to 15mb, which comes with 2mb upload, will this be necessary to do what I'd like? Or is my present connection enough. Btw I play other games with 64ppl no problem, but I've only ever hosted as many as 8-10 ppl (Enemy Territory).

Do this: start LFS, go to multiplayer, and click Start New Host. On the next screen you can choose Max Guests (up to 47) and on the right it will tell you what the required upload is for the specific number of guests.
