I remember a rather recent mention on Ten Tenths of a website that allows you to record (?) and download British free to air TV channels, specifically the Freeview ones.

Oh well, I think with that you have to pre-set what you want and it's about to start, I guess I'll have to watch it on 4OD tomorrow or record the repeat on Tuesday night.

Most of the main channels now allow legal and instant streaming programs/time limited downloads.
