Video card issue no doubt.

Check if you system is overheating, and also try different drivers.

Vertex shader issue. Like Tweaker said, either caused by driver problems or overheating.

Yep, thats a problem with your hardware or software mate. Make sure your card isnt overheating, and make sure the airflow in your case is pretty good. Also make sure all your DirectX drivers and GFX card drivers are up to date and installed properly.

Does it just do it in LFS or have you experinced it in other games also?

my 6600gt did this when i first got it. tried new drivers and set it back to 4x agp instead of 8x and the artifacts went away

however after a few driver changes i put it back to 8x agp and everything is still fine. play around
