The Atlanta races are very good to go to. I usually go to both of those and both at Talladega (and usually a couple in between) each year. I probably wont go to Talladega this year, the last race there was the most boring race I have ever been to. Im intrested to see how the new car will act at AMS.
I dont watch them as much on tv as I used to, but they are still a blast to go to.
I've been to Pocono just because its the only Nascar track around me really, except for Watkins Glen. Got tickets to Atlanta in a couple of weeks though, should be a good time.
It says it comes on TV at 3:30 EST, so its probably going to start around 4(I can only hope). This week's race should be interesting because its the first race for the new car on a 2 mile oval.
So can one of you NASCAR experts explain what happened to JPM? He went from 2nd to 26th in about 2 racing laps. Is it because he has no friends? Is he behaving in a way that makes people not want to draft with him? Is it because his head got broken? What is it?
Pretty much. He's done some things in the past that make some of the veterans think twice about pushing him to the front. Mostly, they just don't trust him yet. Intentional, avoidable, or not, he did end up wrecking Clint Bowyer towards the end.
Personally, I just think Juan was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I dont believe there was any "OMG it's the wrecker lets not draft with him" kind of thing going on (at least not in the majority), but rather they just stayed in their own line in fear of getting shuffled. Remember, others got shuffled just as quick as Juan did such as Jeff Burton and Dave Blaney.
Also, people are too quick to jump on Juan just because he comes from a "different" background. IMHO, he's a lot better than Robbie Gordon who doesn't give anybody ANY room on the track.
