Well, I used to play LFS with my 7600 GS all fine, but now my 7600 GS stopped working, so my dad bought me an HD 2600 XT 512 MB / 128 BITS Sapphire, I told him not to buy ATI, but he didn't listen .

The game just randomly crashes, and last time, it collapsed my whole windows system, after the game, the explorer crashed, and nothing was working, so I pressed CTRL + ALT + DEL, and even the god damn task manager crashed!

I reseted my computer, and it said windows had recovered from a big error, I tried to open MSN, and it crashed, tried to open I.E., and it also crashed, tried both again, and they worked...

I have a Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ
1.5 GB RAM
HD 2600 XT <= I am 99% sure it's ATI's fault, I just wish I knew how to fix it without having to buy a new VGA.

HELP ME PLEASE!

EDIT: So far it only crashed in race, never on menu.
Like we always say! ..... Check your video card drivers and make sure there compatible with your video card!
Can't it be virus/malware?
Ye it can. I had something like it here ill tell you more about what i had!

Ok on startup open taskmanger and look for drwatson32.exe if you fnd it then go to start search and then type in drwatson32 and make sure you select local disk. once it finds it delete it!
its not atis fault i think.
try to update gfx drivers, maybe sound and mainboard driveers too.
Quote from Stefani24 :its not atis fault i think.

That waht i said LOL. And your right it cant be ATi's fault as im running an ATI RADEON MOBILITY Xpress 200 Series (FULL SETTINGS/NO LAG)
The thing is, the driver that came with the CD wouldn't install, it said "class not registered", I downloaded a driver and it said the same thing, so I installed through that windows new hardware thing.
For first, uninstall NVidia drivers.
Next, go to http://ati.amd.com and get valid driver.
