Angry Video Game Nerd is what i've found and he is basically testing crap games from the past while giving hilarious comments (which is the reason for this topic name ).

Well youre right but not entirely. The main reason behind it is or was that he has shown how people in that time got ripped of by company's that used "big names" from movies or sequels from already good games where you should have actually expected a good game but due to the lack of information, meaning that you had to wait for a review in a magazine and even then couldn't be sure if its been judged by an independent source. Nowadays we have the internet and one can check pretty quick how good games are so its getting harder for those company's to sell their crap. But yeah he overplays that role a bit for my taste but its still funny overall

Must agree with you here, but actually, IIRC (I had a NES and a SNES (not to mention ZX Spectrum which I had when i had NO IDEA on how it works and what to do with it))
most games were rubbish then... on SNES for example I recall having less than 10 games, donkey kong and Mortal Combat 2 are the only ones I played more than once...I knew of Mario games... and that's about it... there should be around 10 more titles that are good, but I doubt there are more

then again, while it's usually funny to see somebody ranting about something, it's not that funny if you can easily swap names of the games in 10 different rant videos and not to notice the difference...
