I've just replaced Ubuntu Gutsy with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu I've had no problems running LFS via Wine (the latest versions). However when running it in Debian Etch, LFS freezes as soon as I click the "Agree" button in the Agreement screen (the screen just after selecting the driver name). At this point I am forced to alt-tab back to the terminal and close LFS from there.
The only thing that looks out of the ordinary is a fixme message that repeated occurs when the Agree button is clicked (the message does not appear before that action):
fixme:d3d:unloadNumberedArrays >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_ENUM (0x500) from glDisableVertexAttribArrayARB(rgb) @ state.c / 2913
This is only a fixme, not a warning or error, so it shouldn't be anything really serious. But it seems to be related to the freezing issue.
Is anyone aware of problems with Wine and LFS on Debian Etch? As I said, this was not a problem with Ubuntu.
PS. The latest Wine version available for Debian Etch is 0.9.55. I've tried running LFS using 53 and 54, but encountered the identical problem.
