"Allegedly" you can afford a car, yet you can't afford $50 for LFS? Now tell me, where's the logic in that? As for your "subtle" hints about under-age driving, I applaud you. Well done. Now have a cookie.
@ atlantian, if your so smart, why doesn't ur mummy and daddy use the money from the car they bought you to educate you at a proper school? if you don't know, everybody has a brain, right now you don't. o^-^o
He claimed that his imaginary friend had S2 and played over there.
which wasn't true. Although I'm still 16 almost 17 still have to wait a year for my driving license. And I easely could afford a 325i E30
How can a 16-year-old get insured on a 2.5L rear-wheel drive Beemer? It must be like €7,000, if the insurance company will even talk to you you...which is highly unlikely...
I think that, while insurance rates may seem expensive over here, they are relatively cheap because salaries are fairly high. This explains why every household has 2 cars and at least 2 insured drivers. That's why I ain't complaining about my insurance. I also ain't complaining about gas prices being high, since other places (read: Europe) pay twice as much as we do.
And you wonder why....?
Blame the movie industry for the stupid car related films, such as 2 fast 2 stupid, they produce. Kids then try and replicate what they see in their riced up 1.0l fiesta and go and stuff it into the nearest lamp post.
The trouble is any berk can hold it together for 30-40mins to pass a driving test and then go berserk straight after.
It doesnt matter whether you've watched these dire films or not, as a teenager, you are full of testosterone, impressionable, likely to show off driving and get it wrong. I know, I was one. I was trying to be Ari Vatenen. And got it wrong a couple of times. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbl8LgLXwRo
In fact come to think of it when i passed my test in 1989, the insurance for a 17 yr old (me) in a ford escort mkII was £300 and I only paid £300 for the car, so insurance has gone up relatively over time. I was being ripped off for being young and inexperienced, just like you are now.
Actually i'm going to install better fuel management and other things like that. I'm also going to change the visual look. AKA drift car lol. Nah actually it will be nice. I'm going to get some foose design rims. And and and weight saving things like a roll cage and bucket seats with 6 point harnesses ok they add weight lol. It will be a car people envy.
Edit: Nope, my point exactly. Utter rice, and you obviously don't know much.
Edit2: better fuel management, because the original ECU is rubbish.
change the visual look so that people know you know nothing
foose design rims, but what about the rest of the wheel. Any you'll need new springs and dampers to go with the change in unsprung mass, and probably new geometry, which will almost certainly mean custom links... Unless you want to do it badly, like most people
weight saving things like a roll cage - adds many many kg
bucket seats - saves grammes
6 point harnesses - illegal for road use, and too difficult to put on properly for frequent use. But most people don't ever do them up tight enough for them to be even a slight advantage over inertia reel. You need a helper to do up a 6 point harness yourself.
It will be a car people with no IQ who read Max Power, grease their hair over their foreheads and say innit envy.
One has a silly bonnet lump, and some slightly out of place wheels. The other is standard, and worth more (except to idiots).
